We recently spent the evening with our Community Guides at an Iftar gathering, sharing meals, conversations, and many moments of laughter. ๐โ๏ธ
It was a lovely time to reconnect, share stories and feedback, and simply wind down to enjoy each otherโs company. We hope our Guides enjoyed the evening as much as we did!
Weโre already looking forward to our next gathering! ๐

Itโs the Leading Social Enterprise award, but leaning into our Directorโs ecological tendencies (see Worms et. Work), itโs โThe Cockroach Awardโ of resilience that we have been very honoured to have received ๐คฃ. What a way to start the year!
Reflecting back on January, we are deeply grateful and privileged to have joined fellow social enterprises and partners in celebrating raiSE Singaporeโs 10-year milestone. As we enjoyed an evening of connection, reflection, and shared purpose, we were also very encouraged to witness so many other peer SEs who have survived past the decadal mark.
Seeing the multitude of familiar faces and friends like our former Skillseedee, Wei Jie from who received the Verified Leading Social Enterprise Award (amongst the numerous other awards that Foreword Coffee has so deservedly won), lit our hearts. These moments remind us of the preciousness of growing, supporting and celebrating together.
Our gratitude again to for inviting us to their 10th birthday party, and their steadfast support over the years. Hereโs to many more ahead โจ

โจResilience Trails Wrappedโจ
As the year comes to a close, we are taking a moment to pause and to say thank you.
Thank you to our community partners, clients, participants, and associate facilitators who trusted the process, showed up with openness, and made space for honest conversations. Resilience Trails has always been about people, and this year reminded us just how powerful that can be. ๐งก
This year, together, we ran 89 Resilience Trails, which created paid opportunities for our community guides, generating a total of $10,790 for our guides. They shared their lived experiences, skills, and talents, while holding space for participants to engage more deeply with communities often unseen or misunderstood.
Across these trails, participants did not just walk through neighbourhoods. They walked away with deeper empathy, greater awareness of their own biases, and more confidence navigating differences across backgrounds and lived experiences.
And the numbers reflect that:
- Learning outcomes improved across all areas, from empathy to confidence and community involvement.
- Overall trail satisfaction score: 4.4 /5
At the heart of all these changing perspectives and shifting biases are our Community Guides.
Many of them actively build communities, often while navigating financial constraints and limited resources themselves. What Skillseed offered, as they shared, was a safe space: to be heard without judgment, to make sense of their experiences, and to speak with confidence. Over time, many realised that their stories were not just personal, but had the power to shift mindsets and challenge assumptions.
None of this would be possible without our partners who walk alongside us โ including , Yishun Family Service (YFC)( ), and (TMT) โ and the many organisations who continue to believe in ground-up, dignity-centred work.
As we look ahead, we carry forward what this year has taught us: to start with dignity, to listen deeply, and to keep building with communities, not just for them.
Hereโs to continuing the work โ together. ๐ฑ
