Easy Lego Cookies for a Lego themed party 05/10/2017

Love Lego but love eating more?😋😋
Did you know that cooking and baking is part of the STEAM methodology as well?

🍪 Baking allows children to understand why they need to plan before creating a dish. This is similar to solving problem sums in math.

🍪 It teaches children the art of patience and delayed gratification. This life skill is applicable to science experiments where failures often arise due to the nature of unpredictability.

🍪Baking hones precision - exactly what an engineer needs! Baking incorporates the skills needed in chemistry and physics to create their yummy treats!

So what are you waiting for? Start your own enrichment class in the kitchen this weekend!😆😆😆

Teacher Jason from Level Up Learning says, "Why should math be boring?!" Teacher Jason is our partner from Level Up Learning. Read more about Teacher Jason's teaching method below!

Teacher Jason felt troubled whenever he saw his student struggle to concentrate when doing math. "How can math lessons be interesting enough so it won't feel like studying?" Thus this problem fuelled his idea of Game play.

Why Game Play?

Learning is multi-sensory and math is a logical topic. Letting emotions take the lead turns studying into learning processes! Great minds don't study all the time, but they never stop learning.

[ Pointilism 101⚫⚪]

What is 'pointillism'?

It is a painting technique that was developed by French artist Georges Seurat in the late 1800s. It involves using tiny dots of primary colors to create pictures in which secondary colors can be seen.

Pointillism takes advantage of the way our eyes work with our brains.

Instead of seeing hundreds or thousands of individual dots of color, our eyes and brains can blend those dots of color into multiple colors that then form an image.

Our next Creative Art Class is on 8 Sept 2017 (Friday), 12.30pm.
