Dealing with difficult situations and having difficult conversations is part of being a leader. In such emotional moments, how can we support ourselves and our team? In this session, let’s discuss our experiences with untangling interpersonal conflicts and encountering major planning-stage crises while prioritising the team’s wellbeing :)

What is coaching to you? Is it about telling people what to do, or making sure your team gets things done on time?

Being a coach is so much more than simply being an instructor or a facilitator. Being a coach is about being able to develop your team to the best that they can be, be it them as human beings, or as sports players, or leaders. this process requires understanding their emotions, being open to feedback from your players and relating to them. coaching is also about carefully crafting your interactions with them, about how you communicate and talk with them and how often to give feedback to them.

Through this talk, i hope to be able to give you two things: one, a unique perspective on coaching through my different experiences in coaching sport teams and two, what values i find most important in coaching. I hope that you would walk away from this talk being able to better understand and adapting some of my practices into your coaching journey.
