DAAD Singapore

This morning I met DAAD scholarship holder Anja Gebauer Negri before she heads back to Munich. Anja is a postdoc in the field of the Arts. After her PhD at .muenchen she did a research stay at that was funded by for six months. The scholarship enabled her to take a closer look at spiritual practices in Arts. For her, Singapore was the perfect place to do so because of the religious and cultural diversity. “It has always been my dream to do research work abroad and I am happy and grateful that DAAD gave me the opportunity to do so. The stay here in Singapore opened my view as a European to different ways of thinking. LaSalle College of the Arts gave me the chance to publish my findings, to do lecture performances and installations. For me it was a luxury to focus on the research because I was funded. Now when going back to Germany, I am highly motivated to integrate my Singapore experiences into a habilitation and to work as a professor in the future.” Good luck, Anja!

Congratulations to Niladri Saha Saccha, the winner of Singapore’s Falling Walls Lab 2025! 🎉🎉🎉 With his impressive pitch he broke the wall of unsustainable carbon conversion. The PhD Student is currently pursuing his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering . Now he is the lucky winner of a flight ticket to Berlin to represent Singapore in this year’s Falling Walls Science Summit in November!🇩🇪🇸🇬🎓
