Besides teaching piano, I have also been guiding students and music teachers on how to write clearer, stronger essays for the ARSM/LRSM Teaching Diploma. My students struggle not due to a lack of musical skills but because they were not taught "how to learn and write".

So I have created a short education podcast to share simple writing methods that make learning less stressful and more enjoyable, whether you are a university student or a diploma-level music learner.

😮‍💨𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱—𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀.😮‍💨

In my lessons, I notice changes. Kids don’t learn the same way anymore. Some give up fast. Some get upset over small mistakes.
Honestly, it’s not pure laziness; it’s how childhood is shaped now.

👉 Smaller families mean one child gets all the love.
👉 Games and media keep their minds busy but make it hard to focus.
👉 Schoolwork is so heavy, kids lose 童年.

💕 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
This is why music class can be so valuable. It is not only about exams. It is a safe space. A place where children can slow down, build patience, and feel supported. I always try to keep lessons warm and structured, so progress feels possible without adding more stress.

​💕𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬
We know teaching is not just “play the right notes.” It guides our emotions, keeps motivation alive, and at the same time, helps us not lose ourselves. Sometimes the hidden emotional labour is heavier than the teaching itself. That’s why I continually reflect on my own approaches, try new things, make adjustments, and share what works.

🌿My belief? Music education should grow in both directions. Students learn, but teachers must also stay inspired. That’s how learning lasts. 🥰

🎹 “学了这么久,为什么我的孩子还是学不好?”
很多家长以为问题出在技巧,
但其实,孩子的“卡关”,有时藏在情绪里——
💔 缺乏自信,总说自己不够好
😶 上课沉默、动作迟疑
🔁 同一个错误反复出现

My ARSM performance diploma student has passed his exam! This achievement wasn’t easy for him. It meant juggling heavy school responsibilities while still showing up each week with determination and focus. It was also about adapting my lessons carefully, balancing my academic demands while staying committed to my student’s musical journey.
We both had to show up, even when motivation was low and schedules were tight. I’m reminded that music learning isn’t just about performance but also about consistency, patience, and mutual trust.
Congratulations to my student, not just for the certificate, but for the character built along the way. And thank you to all who believe in music education, even when life gets noisy.

[慢慢聊 EP2|音乐教育- AI来了,钢琴老师还重要吗?]

在网络上常看到很多教育趋势的讨论:AI进入课堂、教育数位转型、永续教学……
我开始思考:在这样的时代,像我们这样的钢琴老师,还重要吗?
这一集,我没有给“答案”。只是想分享我心中的三个小反思:

1️⃣ AI可以设计课程,但不能陪伴孩子成长。
音乐教育里真正不可取代的,是老师对情绪、节奏、心情的细腻感知。

2️⃣ 音乐老师的价值,从来不只是教谱子。
我们是在学生最累的时候、最沮丧的时候,说一句:“没关系,再来一次。”

3️⃣ 在AI时代,我们教的,不只是音乐本身。
我们在带孩子练习坚持、练习理解自己。这些不是AI可以做的。

每一次教学,其实我们也在重新练习做人。

💗𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐀 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲💗

Almost a year ago, after beginning my journey as a Master of Education student, I was introduced to the powerful philosophies of UNESCO and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—especially the belief that education is a basic human right for all, regardless of gender or background.

Since then, I’ve been a small donor to World Vision, an organisation that rescues female through education, health, and empowerment. This has taught me that impact does not always come from bold actions, but often from quiet, attentive, and kind movements over time. Even though my contributions are small, I take pride in supporting a cause that aligns with what I'm learning in education, particularly the intersection of sociopolitical policy and equity and access.

To anyone in education: may we all continue growing, giving, and grounding our efforts in purpose-driven action.

在教育的道路上,真正的教育者不仅仅是传授知识的老师,更是点燃学生心灵火焰的引路人。 “讲心不讲薪” 不是忽视薪酬的重要性,而是强调教育的核心始终在于爱与责任。

教育初心是关怀每一位学生的成长,帮助他们探索自己的潜力,成为有担当、有能力的人。无论遇到多少困难与挑战,真正的教育者都会铭记这份使命,用真心和智慧去引导每一位学生。

在追求职业发展的同时,教育者也应时刻反思:自己选择这条路的初衷是什么?只有坚持初心,才能让教育充满温度和意义。
