Jason has conducted trainings to parents, teachers and students on a wide range of topics including character education, maximising our children’s potential, social and emotional learning for teenagers, multiple intelligences of children, anger management, transit to primary / secondary school life, work-life balance and many other topics. Jason is passionate to advance parenting skills by providing personal coaching for parents. Jason’s forte is on the handling and managing of computers / portable devices in this Facebook, YouTube, iPhone / iPad Age, a challenge for many parents today. His book: “Net Alert! Helping Your Child Overcome Internet Addiction By Building Strong Relationships” is available in major bookstores. The book is a powerful account of his coaching sessions with parents whose children are beyond parental control in their computer hours. To share his passion in helping parents, Jason was invited by Mediacorp Singapore to be the guest speaker for Singapore Parenting Congress 2009. ( www.mediacorpradio.sg/spc09 ). He was also interviewed numerous times by “The Living Room” on 938LIVE and CAPITAL 958 to share his knowledge with concerned parents. Jason was also the speaker for “Building Strong Families For Tomorrow” Parenting Conference 2010 jointly organised with MCYS, Jan 23rd 2010. He shared with parents on Parenting & Family Resilience with specific reference to Emotional Resilience “Helping Your Child Manage his Anger”
Jason is happily married to Emelyn Ho, a teacher with an immense passion for the Chinese language, with whom he shares the joy of raising two lovely children - Faith and Caleb. Being a committed father, Jason inspired Faith, who took her PSLE in 2009 to publish and launch her book “Happily Ever After” during the June holidays ( www.faiththeauthor.com ). Faith has completed her secondary school education in Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary) and is studying in Raffles Institution (Junior College) to pursue her love for the Humanities subjects. Jason and Emelyn were guest speakers for Singapore Parenting Congress 2011 in July 10th, 2011. They shared with a packed audience of parents on “Effective Parenting Strategies – Helping Your Child Manage His Computer Hours” as husband and wife.
