🌟 STAR Day 2026 – Celebrating Our Teachers! 🌟

STAR Day is a special time for us to celebrate and show our appreciation for the teachers who inspire, guide and nurture our pupils each day. ❤️ This year, our STAR Day celebrations were filled with heartfelt expressions of gratitude and opportunities for our pupils to celebrate the teachers who make a difference in their lives.

In the lead-up to STAR Day, our pupils kicked off the celebrations by putting their appreciation into words. During recess, they wrote heartfelt messages to their teachers and invited them to take photos together. 📸💐 These simple but meaningful gestures reminded our teachers that their everyday efforts, encouragement and care are valued and appreciated by their pupils.

Our school leaders also joined in the celebrations by treating our teachers to a special surprise! It was a wonderful way to recognise and thank our teachers for their dedication, hard work and unwavering commitment to our pupils. ❤️

A big thank you to our wonderful Parent Support Group (PSG) for organising a fun-filled carnival for our teachers! 🎈 The carnival provided our teachers with an opportunity to take a break from their busy routines and celebrate together as a community. It was a wonderful expression of appreciation from our PSG and a reminder that our teachers are valued not just by our pupils, but by the wider school community too. ❤️

The celebrations culminated on STAR Day itself. 💐 In the classrooms, pupils and teachers came together for fun classroom activities and bonding games, laughing and enjoying one another's company outside the usual lessons. Our pupils also took to the stage to sing, dance and perform specially for their teachers, sharing their talents as a heartfelt tribute to the teachers who have supported and encouraged them throughout their learning journey. Every performance was more than just a showcase of talent — it was a “Thank You” from our pupils to their teachers. 🌟

To all our teachers, thank you for inspiring, caring, encouraging and believing in our pupils every single day. Your impact goes far beyond the classroom, and today, we celebrate YOU. ❤️

We would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to
Lim Rui Qi Larissa, who graduated from our school last year, on receiving The Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence 2026!

The Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence recognises well-rounded students who have excelled in both academic and non-academic areas, and who have made significant contributions to the community.

This year, only 12 recipients are from the Primary School section, and we are very proud that Larissa is one of them!

一、二年级体验式学习：水果与蔬菜探索之旅 🍎🥦

最近，我们的一、二年级学生在华文课上分别进行了水果日和蔬菜日活动，开启了一次充满趣味的体验式学习之旅。🍎🍊🍌🥦🥕🌽

在活动中，孩子们通过观察、交流、合作和动手体验，认识不同的水果和蔬菜，发现它们的颜色、形状和特点，在真实而有趣的情境中学习。孩子们都非常投入，也十分享受这次特别的学习体验。对他们来说，这不仅仅是一次有趣的活动，更是一次亲身探索和学习的机会。

通过这样的体验式学习，孩子们在玩中学，从生活中发现知识，也在与同伴的互动和合作中学习成长。相信这次活动会成为孩子们校园生活中一段特别而难忘的回忆。❤️

P1 & P2 Experiential Learning – Fruits & Vegetables 🍎🥦

Recently, our Primary 1 and Primary 2 students had a fruitful time learning about fruits and vegetables during their Chinese lessons! 🍎🍊🍌🥦🥕🌽

Through observation, discussion, teamwork and hands-on experiences, our children explored different fruits and vegetables and discovered their colours, shapes and characteristics in a fun and engaging environment.

The children were actively involved and thoroughly enjoyed this special learning experience. For them, it was more than just a fun activity — it was an opportunity to explore, discover and learn through real-life experiences.

Through this experiential learning, the children learned through play, discovered new knowledge from everyday life, and grew through interacting and working together with their peers. We hope this experience will become a special and memorable part of their school journey. ❤️

P1 Cohort Learning Journey – Neighbourhood Walk 🌿📍✨

What a fun and meaningful morning our P1 students had at Toa Payoh Lorong 7 Market! 🏘️💛

Through this experiential learning journey, our students explored their neighbourhood, made careful observations and collected information along the way. Working in groups of three, they used their iPads to answer questions, locate specific places and complete tasks. 📱👀

Our students also enjoyed saying hello to the friendly people at the market, walking past different shops, visiting the badminton court and taking fun we-fies with their groupmates! 😄📸

Along the way, they practised teamwork, taking turns, observation skills and road safety. It was a wonderful opportunity for our P1s to learn beyond the classroom and discover more about their neighbourhood! ❤️

🎙️ 小小广播员课程——《大巴窑特色》 📻

五年级学生完成了为期四个星期的小小广播员课程！

本课程以《大巴窑特色》为主题，同学们从认识广播员的职责开始，学习基本的广播技巧与广播稿写作，并逐步完成属于自己的广播节目，最后以小组形式呈现学习成果。

第一堂课中，同学们积极参与课堂活动，学习如何运用重音、停顿和语调，让广播更生动、更具感染力。随后，大家分组围绕图书馆、美食和游乐场等大巴窑特色，化身不同角色创作对白，并在班上分享，为后续的广播节目创作打下基础。

接下来的课程中，同学们通过小组讨论、资料搜集、广播稿编写及反复排练，将所学的广播技巧融入节目中，以生动有趣的方式介绍大巴窑的特色与魅力。

Our annual Staff Appreciation Day (Teachers’ Day) is just around the corner, and we would love to welcome you back to Pei Chun Public School to reconnect with the staff who have been part of your journey.

演出接近尾声时，几位学生上台体验花旦表演，在演员的指导下学习耍手帕。学生们大胆尝试，手帕随着动作轻盈舞动，现场充满欢声笑语！👏✨

此次活动让学生近距离感受传统戏曲的魅力，激发了他们对华族传统文化的兴趣❤️，也为校园生活增添了一份欢乐与美好的回忆！🌟

🎭 As an SAP school, the appreciation of the Chinese culture goes beyond our textbooks! Our students enjoyed a Chinese opera performance of The Carp Leaps Over the Dragon Gate. They watched attentively, and the hall was filled with applause and laughter!

Towards the end of the performance, several students were invited on stage to try their hand at traditional female opera moves. Under the performers' guidance, they learnt handkerchief twirling and thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience! 👏✨

This engaging experience allowed students to appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese opera, sparking their interest in Chinese culture ❤️ and creating a joyful, memorable school experience.🌟

快乐学华文，精彩看戏去！

公立培群学校三年级8个班共298位学生一同观赏了华语儿童舞台剧《不高兴和没头脑之导演别玩了》。

孩子们跟随着剧情时而开怀大笑，时而认真思考，在轻松有趣的故事中学习责任感、坚持、合作及情绪管理的重要性。精彩的演出也巧妙融入本地华族文化元素，让学生在真实的语言环境中感受华语的魅力。

在公立培群学校，我们相信学习不仅发生在课室里，更延伸至丰富多元的真实体验。透过文化艺术活动，学生不仅提升了华文学习兴趣，也培养了文化素养、创造力及欣赏艺术的能力，在欢乐中学习，在体验中成长。

Celebrating Singapore’s 61st Birthday! ❤️🤍

Our school came together to celebrate Singapore’s National Day with a meaningful and memorable morning filled with pride, gratitude and community spirit.

The celebration began with the Observance Ceremony, where students paid tribute to our nation through the marching-in of the National Flag and School Flag, the flag-raising and pledge-taking ceremony, followed by the National Day Message by the Minister for Education. A special recollections video also reminded us of Singapore’s journey and the values that continue to unite us.

Students then watched “Keep the Kampong Spirit Alive!”, a heartwarming presentation that highlighted the importance of kindness, neighborliness and looking out for one another. The celebration continued with a special video montage and a beautiful performance of 《麻雀衔竹枝》 by our teachers and pupils.

The morning concluded with a lively community singing session, as students and staff came together to celebrate our nation’s birthday with joy and pride.

As we celebrate SG61, may we continue to cherish our shared values, appreciate our multicultural heritage and work together to build a stronger, kinder and more caring Singapore.

Proudly donned in red and white, our Primary 5 students attended the National Education (NE) Show on 25 July 2026!

Held at the iconic Kallang dome, the stands erupted with a thunderous Kallang Roar. 📣✨ Our Pei Chun students joined thousands of others in the audience to execute a flawless Kallang Wave that rippled across the massive crowd.

The students were captivated by the dynamic multimedia performances and a stunning symphony of fireworks that lit up the massive arena. Waves of laughter and excitement filled the stands, transforming the stadium into a powerful arena of youthful energy and national pride. ❤️🤍

May our students remember the theme for Singapore's 61st birthday – Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond! – a meaningful call for all citizens to progress together and care for the community. 💪🏽✨
