Business deals can be made or broken, first dates become second dates or not, friendships are created or fail to form; everything hinges on that all-important initial encounter. And yet most of us don’t know how we are really seen by others. Many of us don't know how t

o make a good impression. At Aphrodite Image Consultancy, our approach is different from others. We make no prescriptions about how people “should” present themselves. There is no one “right” first impression or “right” way to communication. A good impression is one that reflect the real you. If you are presenting the best of yourself, the self you want to share, then you are making the impression that is right for you. We aim to inform you, not to change who you are. You may learn that you come across in a way that isn't widely appealing but be okay with it. For example, you may find that you come across as cynical or negative, but not want to change that because you like a cynical edge and like others who share that style. What we do is to help you identify gaps between how you think you come across and how others actually perceive you, so you can make changes if you want to and when you want to. Of course we respect that you may not want to impress everyone you cross paths with. But with a little knowledge, you can make positive impressions effortlessly and automatically.

Your professional presence is more than how you look — it is how you are perceived, how you communicate, and the influence you create.

A privilege to be invited by the Women’s Wing @ Nanyang to conduct “Elevate Your Presence at Work”, a workshop designed to empower women to strengthen their professional presence and elevate their impact in the workplace.

Through practical discussions and interactive activities, participants explored how personal image, executive presence, communication and professional etiquette can contribute to credibility, confidence and positive influence.

The takeaway was clear: when we show up with intention, communicate with confidence and align our image with our professional goals, we position ourselves to influence, inspire and lead.

Thank you to the Women’s Wing @ Nanyang for the warm invitation and to all the participants for their enthusiastic engagement.

It was a pleasure sharing practical life skills that will serve him well for years to come—from creating a positive first impression and understanding the importance of dressing for success, to maintaining good posture, building confidence, and practising social etiquette.

While academic achievements are important, essential life skills such as confidence, communication, respect, and self-presentation are equally valuable in helping young people thrive in school, future careers, and everyday life.

June School Holidays Programme – Develop Your Poise & Confidence

We are thrilled to have successfully completed our June School Holidays Develop Your Poise & Confidence Programme!

It has been a rewarding journey empowering close to 150 children with essential life skills that help them project confidence, communicate effectively, and carry themselves with poise. Through fun and engaging activities, our young participants learned the importance of positive body language, self-expression, social etiquette, and building self-confidence.

Watching each child grow in confidence, step out of their comfort zone, and shine in their own unique way has been truly inspiring. Confidence is a skill that will benefit them throughout their lives—in school, friendships, future careers, and beyond.

Thank you to all the parents for your trust and support, and to our wonderful participants for bringing so much energy and enthusiasm to every session. We look forward to empowering even more young minds in future programmes!

Through fun activities, role plays, and interactive learning, our young participants are discovering the power of positive body language, confident communication, and graceful manners. Every smile, every brave attempt, and every step forward is a sign of growing confidence.

Kicking off our June School Holiday Kiddie Programme – Develop Your Poise & Confidence! 🌟

We had an amazing start to our June school holiday programme at Sengkang Community Club and Seletar-Serangoon Zone 4 RN, with enthusiastic children aged 6 to 12 joining us for a fun-filled learning experience.

Through engaging activities, interactive games, and hands-on exercises, the children discovered the importance of confidence, positive body language, good manners, and effective communication. It was heartwarming to see them step out of their comfort zones, make new friends, and grow in confidence throughout the session.

A big thank you to all the young participants for their energy and enthusiasm. We look forward to more exciting sessions ahead as we continue helping our young learners develop poise, confidence, and essential life skills for the future. ✨
