As the landscape of training evolves, so must we.

Following yesterday’s monthly internal session, our trainers came together to deepen their capabilities in webinar design and delivery — translating what can often be seen as a technical skill into an engaging learning experience.

The session challenged us to rethink facilitation in a digital setting. How do we keep adult learners engaged? What truly drives meaningful learning in a virtual space?
Drawing inspiration from Dr Michael Choy’s DELETE (Designing Errors for Learning and Teaching) approach, our trainers explored learning through practice, reflection, and even missteps. It reinforced a simple but important reality — that preparation, rehearsal, and thoughtful design are key to delivering seamless and impactful webinars.

At Parkway College, we believe that creating a safe space to learn, experiment, and refine is essential. By strengthening these capabilities, our trainers are better equipped to meet the evolving demands of healthcare education — with confidence and purpose.

Trainer Spotlight: Silahis “Lala” Bullecer Lao 🌟

Behind every seamless learning experience is someone who makes it happen quietly — with precision, care, and heart 🤍

Meet Lala.

Many know Lala as the meticulous one preparing classrooms — ensuring every detail is in place before learners step in. But what often goes unseen is the intention behind it.

From setting up materials to anticipating learners’ needs, Lala creates an environment where learning feels smooth, focused, and meaningful. Because when the basics are taken care of, learners can fully engage, practise, and grow 🎯

With over two decades of experience in healthcare and education, Lala brings not just knowledge — but a deep understanding of what makes learning truly effective.

💬 “What patients remember isn’t just what you do – it’s how you treat them.”
And in every class Lala supports, that belief comes to life.

Because sometimes, the biggest impact happens behind the scenes ✨

✨ Did you know? ✨

When something goes wrong, the incident may end —
but the impact often doesn’t 💭

Many healthcare professionals become second victims, carrying guilt, self‑doubt, and emotional distress long after the event 🩺💔

What makes the biggest difference?
⏰ Early, compassionate support — especially in the first 2–72 hours.
💡 Second victim support isn’t about being “soft”.
👥 It’s about leadership.
🛡️ It’s about patient safety.
❤️ It’s about caring for those who care for others.
