Just received the most heartwarming message from one of my students, and I’m honestly holding back happy tears right now! 😭✨
Meet Marcus - 8 months ago, this brilliant young man was paralyzed by math anxiety. He’d break into a cold sweat seeing algebra equations,
convinced he was “just not a math person.”
His grades were stuck at D level (around 50%), and he’d tell me daily, “Mr. Tham, I think I’m going to fail.”
I still remember those early sessions where he’d stare at simple equations for minutes, hands actually trembling.
But what absolutely melted my heart was watching him show up every single week, even when everything felt impossible.
We celebrated every small win - his first correct equation, his first quiz without panic, his first C+ on a test. Marcus NEVER gave up. 💪
Today, that same boy just achieved a solid B grade (67%) on his latest math test! From D to B - what an incredible transformation! And now he’s telling me, “Mr. Tham, I want to push for an A next time. I know I can do it!” 🚀✨
