On 17 August 2026, Seng Kang Primary School was honoured to welcome Dr Taufiq and Dr Fahamy from Sengkang General Hospital for our Education & Career Guidance (ECG) Engagement Assembly Talk with our SKLITES! 🩺✨

Our students gained valuable insights into the medical profession and were inspired by their experiences, passion and dedication to caring for others.

Seng Kang Primary celebrated Singapore’s 61st Birthday on 7 August 2026. Our SKLites came together in a sea of red and white to celebrate our nation’s 61st birthday with joy, pride and Singapore spirit! Through songs, performances, stories and shared memories, we celebrated how far we have come and were reminded that each of us has a part to play in shaping Singapore’s future. Together, let’s dream bigger, care for one another and Go Beyond!

🇸🇬What a proud and memorable day for Seng Kang Primary School! 🇸🇬

Our Malay Dance team was honoured to be invited to perform at the Sengkang North National Day Observance Ceremony held at Seng Kang Community Club on Saturday, 1 August 2026.

A special thank you to our Principal, Mrs. Tan, and Vice Principal, Mr. Zhou, for taking the time to join us and show their unwavering support. We were also delighted to have our dancers' parents in the audience, cheering them on every step of the way. Your encouragement meant the world to our performers!

Congratulations to our talented dancers for representing Seng Kang Primary School with pride, confidence, and vibrant energy. Thank you to everyone who made this celebration so meaningful as we came together to celebrate our nation's 61st birthday.

On 21st July 2026, SKPS commemorated Racial Harmony Day. Both teachers and students were decked in their traditional outfits, transforming the school into a myriad of vibrant colours. Traditional food item stalls were set up at the bus bay for students to experience and savour food items from different cultures. Recess activities such as kolam design, Chinese calligraphy, penning wishes to friends from other races, traditional games such as chapteh were also conducted for students to participate in and have a whale of a time. We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to our Parent Support Group members for their invaluable support and effort in making this event a smooth and fruitful one for our teachers and students.

We are delighted to share that SKPS was featured in Shin Min Daily News on 30 July 2026!

The article highlights our meaningful partnership with BERNINA, where our Primary 4 students combined creativity and computational thinking by using block coding to create personalised pouches during our Week of Wonder for our annual Sell & Raise. It also showcases our Primary 6 intergenerational project, which brings students and senior citizens together through meaningful interactions and shared learning experiences.

Adding a special touch to the story, the reporter, Lee Xuan Jin, is an SKPS alumnus. It is always heartening to see our SKLites making their mark while remaining connected to the SKPS family.

The feature includes an interview with our SKLite, Wang Ziyu from P4 Faith (2026), as well as insights from our Year Head (Middle Block), Miss Kwan, on these meaningful learning experiences.

This feature is a wonderful affirmation of our commitment to providing experiential learning opportunities that nurture creativity, innovation, collaboration and community spirit. Through authentic learning experiences and meaningful partnerships, we continue to develop our students' Critical, Adaptive and Inventive Thinking as we live out our mission of Thinkers Today, Learners Tomorrow. We are grateful to our students, staff, partners and parents for making these opportunities possible, and we look forward to creating many more meaningful learning experiences together.

Our talented dancers have achieved the Certificate of Distinction at the Singapore Youth Festival (S*F) Arts Presentation 2026. This remarkable achievement reflects their months of dedication, perseverance and teamwork, guided by the unwavering support of our teachers and instructors. We are immensely proud of every dancer for performing with confidence, grace and passion. Congratulations on making the SKPS family proud! 💜✨

Asia Arts Festival 2026

On 9th July 2026, the Modern Dance team participated in the Asia Arts Festival 2026.

Since 2013, Asia Arts Festival (AAF) has provided a worthy platform for musicians and dancers from all genres to showcase their talents, skills, and art forms before an illustrious panel of adjudicators. AAF has since attracted more than 2,600 participants from over 20 countries including Asia and other parts of the world such as Russia, Germany, Scotland, New Zealand and etc. Besides forging lifelong friendships and enjoying the fun and encouraging atmosphere at the festival, every participant will be awarded a trophy and certificate.

2026 marks the fourth time Modern Dance participated in the event and we are happy to announce that the dancers, had for the fourth time, attained the GOLD Award.

Our heartiest congratulations to the instructors and dancers for their hard work and dedication. Our heartiest gratitude also goes to parents and guardians for their unwavering support and partnership.
