Last Friday, our Cub Scouts and Brownies gathered for a joint observance of Scout Founder’s Day and Girl Guides World Thinking Day.
This year, the Singapore Scout Association organised the North Area Founder’s Day Celebration on 14 February 2026, ahead of the global observance on 22 February. The event took the form of a carnival themed “All Around the World”, giving Scouts the opportunity to engage in collaborative activities that promote innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and a renewed commitment to the Scout Promise and Law.
For our Cub Scouts, Founder’s Day is a time to remember Lord Baden-Powell and his vision for the Scout Movement. It also reminds us to uphold our promise to contribute positively to our community and nation, especially meaningful this year as Singapore marks SG60.
For our Brownies, World Thinking Day is a worldwide tradition that celebrates its 100th year in 2026. The theme, “Our Friendship”, centres on the values of Promise, Appreciate, and Love, reinforcing the importance of global sisterhood and shared responsibility.
We thank our Principal, Mrs Tan, for reading the messages from the Scout Commissioner and the President of Girl Guides Singapore, and for her continued support of our uniform groups.
