๐๐ We had a wonderful time hosting a Private Cooking Class for Ada Shi with 2 participants led by Chef Kogi! ๐ฉโ๐ณโจ It was a fun and hands-on culinary session where participants learned how to make fresh pasta from scratch, perfectly paired with a delicious tomato-based sauce ๐
๐. From kneading and shaping the pasta to mastering the balance of flavours in the sauce, it was a rewarding experience filled with learning and laughter.
To end the class on a sweet note, participants also baked a comforting and delicious Apple Crumble ๐๐ฅง โ the perfect dessert to complete a homemade meal. ๐ฟ๐โจ We had an amazing time exploring the rich flavours of Singapore in our Crazy Rich Asian Flavours: Sunday Singapore Heritage Cooking Class inspired by the iconic Crazy Rich Asians! Led by Chef Lynette, participants enjoyed a fun and hands-on culinary journey as they learned how to recreate the beloved Nasi Lemak traditionally served on a banana leaf. From fragrant Pandan Coconut Rice, crispy Fried Turmeric Chicken Wings, spicy Homemade Sambal, crunchy Fried Anchovies & Peanuts, fluffy Omelette, and refreshing Sliced Cucumber, everyone got to experience the authentic flavours of this local favourite โ ending the session on a sweet note with a refreshing Gula Melaka Sago! ๐๐ถ๏ธ๐ณ๐ฅ๐ฎ
It was wonderful to see food lovers, curious travellers, expats, and locals come together to discover Singaporeโs rich culinary heritage through hands-on cooking. Led by the exceptional Chef Kogi, our students dove deep into the fundamental physics of dough formation, gluten development, and classic Italian sauce architecture.
Here is a look at the advanced skills and spectacular dishes they mastered from scratch:
โจ Fresh Pasta Dough & Sheeting โ Learned the exact ratio of flour to eggs required to build a resilient dough, mastering the precise kneading, resting, and mechanical sheeting techniques needed for delicate pasta layers.
โจ Spinach Ravioli with Pesto โ Explored the art of structured fillings, preparing a delicate spinach and ricotta center, sealing the ravioli perfectly to avoid bursting, and tossing them in a vibrant, emulsified fresh basil pesto paste.
โจ Classic Lasagna Construction โ Built a rich, layered masterpiece from scratch, mastering the slow-simmered depth of a traditional meat sauce and the velvety, smooth chemistry of a classic Bรฉchamel to bind the delicate fresh pasta sheets together.

The studio was filled with laughter, creativity, and incredible aromas on Saturday, June 6, 2026, as we hosted a spectacular private cooking party for Maaya Inami's 11th birthday! Up to 6 young chefs stepped into the kitchen to celebrate by crafting their very own birthday feast entirely from scratch.
Led by the wonderful Chef Loreta, the kids transformed into professional chefs for the day, mastering dough physics, pastry structures, and flavor pairings.
Here is a look at the delicious birthday menu they created:
โจ Gourmet Personal Pizzas โ Learned the science of yeast dough, stretching and shaping their own crusts before customizing them with an array of assorted toppings and baking them to bubbly perfection.
โจ Fruit Tarts with Pastry Cream โ Explored classic baking techniques by rubbing cold butter into flour to press out crisp, golden tart shells. They then whisked up a silky, smooth vanilla pastry cream and topped it off with a beautiful arrangement of fresh fruits.
It was the absolute perfect way to celebrate turning 11โbuilding real kitchen skills, getting hands-on with fresh ingredients, and enjoying a delicious homemade feast together!

We had an absolutely spectacular time in the kitchen on Saturday, June 6, 2026, for our high-energy Crazy Rich Asian Flavours: Saturday Singapore Heritage Cooking Class! Our studio was filled with incredible aromas as a wonderful group of travelers, locals, and expats came together to recreate the country's most legendary culinary treasures.
Led by the fantastic Chef Loreta, this comprehensive 3-hour workshop broke down complex heritage techniques into fun, accessible skills that anyone can replicate at home.
Here is a look at the spectacular local menu our participants built completely from scratch:
โจ Hokkien Mee โ Mastered the art of high-heat wok tossing, combining thick yellow noodles and rice vermicelli with juicy prawns, squid, and pork. Students learned how to braise the noodles in a rich, deeply savory seafood stock to absorb maximum flavor, served up with a squeeze of fresh lime and fiery sambal.
โจ Sambal Squid โ Explored the balance of local aromatics to create a robust, flavorful chili paste from scratch, flash-cooking the squid to keep it perfectly tender.
โจ Ondeh Ondeh โ Dove into traditional dessert structures, kneading fragrant pandan dough into delicate coconut balls stuffed with rich palm sugar (gula melaka), cooked until bursting and rolled in fresh, salted grated coconut.
After a rewarding session of grinding pastes, tossing woks, and rolling dough, everyone sat down to enjoy their handmade feast with a complimentary cold drink, while some packed their delicious creations home to show off to family!
