🌟 LearnFest 2026 🌟

Learning comes alive when it extends beyond the pages of a textbook! 📚➡️🌍

At LearnFest, our Montfortians stepped out of the classroom and into authentic learning experiences that connected their lessons to the real world. Through geographical investigations, students explored the city around them, gaining a deeper appreciation of urban planning and the spaces that shape our everyday lives.

At the Science Centre, they immersed themselves in the wonders of science, sparking curiosity and inspiring a passion for discovery beyond the classroom. Meanwhile, the Math Amazing Race challenged students to apply mathematical concepts to solve real-world problems in a fun, engaging, and dynamic environment.✨

Montfort Secondary School Annual Cross Country at Sengkang Riverside Park was filled with energy, excitement, and plenty of school spirit! Despite the gloomy skies, all our Montfortians showed great determination and resilience, successfully completing their runs just before the rain arrived.

A big congratulations to Berthomieu House for emerging as this year’s champion house! 🏆 We also commend every participant for the countless hours of training, perseverance, and effort put into preparing for the event. Well done, Montfortians!

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all student volunteers, teachers, and parents who contributed in one way or another to make this event possible. Your support, encouragement, and dedication played a vital role in the success of the event.

We honoured our Unsung Heroes in our school community, individuals who quietly serve behind the scenes with dedication, care, and humility.

Through a reflection, tribute segment, and video showcase, students were reminded that even the smallest acts of service can make a lasting impact. We also heard from several Unsung Heroes who shared about their work and experiences, helping students gain a deeper appreciation for those who support our school every day.

Thank you to all our Unsung Heroes for the care, commitment, and heart you bring to the Montfort family.

As part of our 110th Founder’s Day celebrations last Saturday, the Montfort family marked a meaningful milestone with a live tree-planting initiative featuring 110 species and about 600 new plants around the school, symbolising growth, stewardship and the flourishing legacy of generations of Montfortians.

We were deeply honoured to welcome Guest-of-Honour Mr Lim Boon Heng — distinguished former Member of Parliament, proud Montfort alumnus, and lifelong Montfortian — who planted the ‘Hopea Sangal’ tree on this special occasion, a powerful symbol of hope, resilience and roots that endure.

The celebration also saw us honour outstanding character and service through the presentation of the Montfortian of the Year, recognising a member of our community who exemplifies the spirit and values of Montfort.

From nurturing the earth to honouring those who carry our light, the day was a beautiful reminder that legacy is not only remembered — it is lived and grown.

110 years strong. Rooted in commitment. Growing in conviction. Reaching toward the future.

Our school community came together once again for a deeply meaningful Founder’s Day Mass — a celebration of faith, unity, and our shared heritage.

On this special day, we marked the Solemnity of Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort, Priest, Founder, and Patron of the Montfortian Family. His life and mission continue to inspire us to live with humility, service, and steadfast faith.

We are grateful to Fr Bartolo Maria, who presided over the Eucharistic Celebration, guiding us through a reflective and uplifting liturgy.

As we gathered in prayer, we were reminded not only of our roots, but also of our calling — to carry forward the Montfortian spirit in our daily lives.

Last week, we commemorated Student Leadership Week, which began by recognizing our Class Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen and Peer Support Leaders (PSLs) at Monday’s morning assembly.

The week culminated with the Student Leaders Investiture Ceremony held on Fri, 17 April. This ceremony saw the official handover of leadership of our Houses, CCAs and Student Council from the Sec 4s to the Sec 3s. With the theme of “Illuminate, The Fire Burns Brighter”, in the presence of the school, we appreciated the good work of our graduating leaders, and affirmed the commitment of our incoming leaders to bring the student body to greater heights.

To the Sec 4s, thank you for your leadership, and all the best to the Sec 3s in your new leadership term ahead!
