72 hours. One challenge. Endless possibilities.

The Level'Up School Uniform Hackathon challenged students to rethink what school uniforms could look like in a changing climate.

From researching real-world challenges and interviewing stakeholders to building prototypes and pitching solutions, students experienced the full design thinking process while developing skills that matter beyond the classroom.

We're incredibly proud of the creativity, resilience, and innovation demonstrated throughout the challenge.

What would your climate-ready school uniform look like? ๐Ÿ‘•

10 minutes. One everyday object. No example to copy.

Ask:

โ†’ Who could this help?
โ†’ What problem could it solve?
โ†’ What could it become?

Then let them imagine, make, test, and rethink.

This , we're giving young people something simple: room for their own answer.

Try the challenge and tag in what your students create.

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Happy National Day, Singapore!

As edm8ker celebrates 10 years, we're especially grateful to the place where our journey began.

Thank you to every educator, student, school, partner, and community who has welcomed us into your classrooms, makerspaces, and learning spaces over the years.

You've helped shape who we are today, and we can't wait to keep building, learning, and making together.

โค๏ธ Here's to the next chapter.

Fix it. Don't bin it. ๐Ÿ”ง

In July, the edm8ker Singapore team joined Get Crafty! โ€“ Repair Discovery at Gardens by the Bay, where families and the wider community got hands-on with the fourth R: Repair.

From replacing electrical plugs to dismantling table fans, participants discovered how understanding everyday products can help us reduce waste, extend their lifespan, and build the confidence to repair instead of replace.

Sustainability isn't just about what we recycle. It's also about what we choose to keep in use.

What happens when makers get together? ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ

Over a few days in Malaysia, our team stepped away from our day-to-day work to reconnect, collaborate, create, and learn together. From hands-on activities and meaningful conversations to plenty of laughter along the way, every experience reminded us why we believe in learning by making.

This is just the beginning. Stay tuned as we share more moments from the retreat and the maker lessons we brought back with us. ๐Ÿ’›

There's a particular kind of focus that shows up when someone's building something with their hands โ€” testing, adjusting, trying again. That's what we came to Arts Integration and STEAM 2026 to talk about: how maker-centered learning brings that experience into the classroom, every day.

They get carried home. ๐Ÿ‘œ

From identifying real-world challenges to developing practical solutions, these students showed what happens when young people are given the opportunity to think, create, and lead.

A huge congratulations to our Changemaker Junior Division teams at the OCBC TSYF Challenge 2026:

๐Ÿ† Sprout Squad from Outram Secondary School โ€“ Champion

๐ŸŒฑ VoltWalk from Jurongville Secondary School โ€“ Finalist

Both teams began their journey through the EB Impact Hackathon before taking their ideas to the TSYF Challenge stage.

Beyond the results, we're proud of the curiosity, resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving they demonstrated throughout the process.

Because building a sustainable future starts with empowering young people to take action today.

Can you fix it instead of throwing it away?

That was the challenge we posed to participants at TSYF 2026.

From building DIY Orbeez neck coolers inspired by the science of latent heat of vaporization to learning how to safely replace electrical plugs, participants explored sustainability through hands-on action.

The repair station quickly became a crowd favorite. For many, it was their first time opening up a plug, understanding how it works, and successfully completing a repair themselves.

Because sustainability isn't just about recycling.

It's also about repairing, reusing, and giving everyday items a longer life.

Fix it. Don't bin it.
