In MapleBear Thomson Walk, we recognise the importance of social-emotional development in children and aim to provide a platform for meaningful engagement and exposure. We want children to grow to discover more about themselves daily and have a blast while doing so!

Ever wondered what life is like as an astronaut? On this day, the children dressed up as little astronauts and explored outer space!
Exploring space felt a tad bit scary at first, but the children bravely put on their jet packs and went into Apollo 11 to begin their exploration. They walked on the Moon, planted their class flag on it, met some aliens on the way and also touched the galaxy! They definitely had a blast!

Water play offers a wide range of benefits for children. Firstly, it encourages sensory exploration, as children splash, pour, and move the water around. This promotes the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. Water play also offers opportunities for children to learn about the properties of water, such as its ability to change shape and volume. It also helps children to develop social skills as they learn to take turns and share toys and materials. Additionally, water play can help to regulate children's emotions by providing a calming effect, reducing stress, and promoting relaxation. It is such an enjoyable and effective way for children to learn and develop important skills!

At MapleBear Thomson Walk, we incorporated Easter activities into our curriculum to expose children to different cultures and beliefs. These activities include making Easter crafts, such as Easter eggs and bunnies, singing Easter songs and rhymes, and learning about the story of Easter. We also organized Easter egg hunts, where children search for hidden eggs in the school's garden. These activities not only teach children about Easter but also promote teamwork, social skills, and creativity!

Reading and storytelling with babies and children promotes brain development and imagination, develops language and emotions, and strengthens relationships. Sometimes you can read. And sometimes you can look at picture books, sing songs or tell stories from your culture.

Check out the newly opened Punggol Regional Library this weekend!!

to Mid-Autumn celebration in school.

Mid-Autumn was celebrated with a beautiful array of activities. The children watched Chang'E dramatisation scripted, filmed and acted by our very own incredible teachers in our cluster. The children enjoyed making their mooncakes. They sampled it in school and brought home for their family members to enjoy too!
