Leadership Overload: Ex*****on Struggles in Overstaffed Orgs | Wan Zuraidi W. posted on the topic | LinkedIn Hiring Too Many Leaders, Not Enough Doers : A Costly Mistake Lately, I’ve been seeing a growing pattern across many organizations. There’s an impressive lineup of C-level executives, Heads, and Directors. Titles are abundant. Strategy decks are polished. Governance looks solid on paper. But on t...

🚢 How to Read a Bill of Lading in Under 1 Minute
If you’re in logistics, freight forwarding, or international trade, you know this:
a single mistake on a Bill of Lading (B/L) can delay your shipment, hold your cargo at customs, or even cost you thousands in fees.
Here’s a quick checklist to help you verify a B/L the right way 👇
🔍 Key Elements to Review:
✅ Shipper / Consignee / Notify Party – Double-check names, company details, and contact info.
✅ Port of Loading & Discharge – Ensure they match your actual shipping route.
✅ Container & Seal Numbers – Any mismatch could mean major delays or claims.
✅ Freight Terms (Prepaid or Collect) – Impacts how your cargo is released and who pays what.
✅ Gross Weight, Packages, HS Code – Must match your commercial invoice and packing list for customs clearance.
✅ Issue Date & Carrier Signature – Make sure the B/L is valid and officially signed.
✅ Spelling & Formatting Errors – Even small typos can cause problems with banks or L/C documents.
📝 Pro Tip:
Always request a draft B/L before the final one is issued — it’s your last chance to catch mistakes before they become costly.
🎯 Why It Matters:
Being thorough at this stage can prevent:
- Demurrage or detention fees
- Customs holds or shipment delays
- Payment issues under Letter of Credit terms
At Airsupply, our documentation team reviews every Bill of Lading with precision — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth cargo release across all major trade lanes.
💬 What’s the most common B/L error you’ve seen in your experience?
Let’s share insights to make global shipping smoother for everyone.

Supply Chain is NOT Procurement.
Supply Chain is NOT Logistics.
Supply Chain is NOT Warehousing.
Supply Chain is the entire engine that drives business — from raw materials all the way to the end customer.
Too often, people say “I’m in supply chain” when they actually mean procurement, logistics, or warehousing. The truth is, those are just parts of a much larger system.
Here’s what Supply Chain truly covers:
Demand Planning & Forecasting – predicting demand and aligning supply
Procurement & Sourcing – suppliers, contracts, cost, risk
Production & Operations Planning – making sure products are made right
Inventory Management – balancing too much vs. too little stock
Warehousing & Storage – safe, efficient handling of goods
Logistics & Transportation – moving goods across borders, by land, sea, or air
Order Fulfillment & Distribution – getting products to retailers and end-users
Customer Service & Reverse Logistics – after-sales, returns, recalls, sustainability
Risk & Compliance Management – meeting regulatory, environmental, and ethical standards
Data & Performance Analytics – optimizing KPIs, tech, and continuous improvement
In short: Supply Chain is the orchestra. Procurement, logistics, and warehousing are important but they’re just instruments.
Let’s stop underselling supply chain. It’s not a function it’s the backbone of business
