HSSE Masters by Research student, Sharon Tan Bee Wah, took first prize in the 3MT© Competition at the NIE Student Graduate Conference 2023. Sharon’s winning entry was on the topic Motivate to Educate – Chatbot for Pre-Class Prep. The study focused on addressing problems in regulating students’ learning in flipped classroom through the innovative use of a chatbot alongside a worksheet scaffold. Congratulations to Sharon for her accomplishment!

The Sustainability Learning Lab ran a workshop for the Youth Environment Camp 2022 on 24 Nov. 120 participants across ASEAN learned about how a card game like SLL'S "Getting to Zero" could effectively communicate complicated energy policy options for a zero carbon future.
Participants were engaged and enthusiastic, thanks in no small parts to the team of committed facilitators comprising faculty, students and ex-students from NIE.
