🏀 NSG C Division Basketball Finals 🏀
Bedok Green Secondary School 40–39 Bartley Secondary School
Wednesday, 19 August 2026
Our C Division boys fought through an intense Finals showdown, taking the lead in the first three quarters before narrowly falling short by just one point at the final buzzer.
The disappointment was real, but so was their fighting spirit. Despite the pressure, our players remained composed, battled for every possession and displayed tremendous heart, resilience and sportsmanship. They reminded us that sport is not only about the scoreboard - it is also about character, perseverance and supporting one another through adversity.
Kyle (2O2) led the team’s attack with skilful ball-handling, 11 points and 7 rebounds, while Zebedee (2O8) delivered a commanding performance with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Every player contributed to the team’s effort, including our unsung defensive anchors who disrupted plays and applied relentless pressure throughout the game.
A heartfelt thank you to our supporters in the stands. Your enthusiastic chants and energy gave the team an extra push to keep fighting until the very end.
Our boys represented Bartley with immense pride throughout an extraordinary season. Hold your heads high - you gave everything you had, and we could not be prouder of you.
A huge round of applause for our Basketballers!

🧵 Our People, Our Tapestry
This Racial Harmony Week, Bartleyans celebrated the rich cultures, traditions and identities that make our school community unique.
We started the week with a school assembly featuring a skit and game segment centred on the theme “Embrace Diversity”, setting the tone for a meaningful week of learning and appreciation.
This was followed by CCE lessons on Thursday, where students reflected on the importance of racial harmony and mutual respect in our daily lives.
On Friday morning TGIF, our Peer Support Leaders shared on Social Awareness: Identifying Triggers, helping students deepen their understanding of self-awareness and recognising emotional triggers.
The celebrations culminated in Ethnic Attire Day on Friday, when students and staff proudly showcased their cultural heritage while learning to appreciate the traditions of others. Like threads in a tapestry, our differences are beautifully intertwined & strengthening our shared identity and commitment to harmony.
The week was made even more vibrant with Fruity Friday, where our PSG (Parents’ Support Group) joined in the celebrations by sharing a variety of fresh fruits with students and organising fun games that brought laughter, joy, and bonding across the school community.
Together, let us continue to build a caring Bartley community grounded in understanding, respect and unity. ❤️

🌟Designing the Future with Courage & Creativity🌟
Congratulations to our Secondary 3 Design & Technology students for being shortlisted as Finalists in the GenVision Challenge 2026 – Design the Future with Generative AI!
Competing alongside some of Singapore’s top schools, our Bartleyans confidently presented their innovative design solution on stage, demonstrating creativity, resilience and the courage to step beyond their comfort zones.
While they received a Commendation Award, the true achievement was the journey embracing design thinking, leveraging AI responsibly to enhance ideas, and communicating their solutions with confidence before a distinguished panel.
We are incredibly proud of our students and extend our appreciation to their teacher-adviser, MDM Pang Swee Lee, for her dedication and guidance throughout the competition.
Every challenge is an opportunity to learn, innovate and grow. This is just the beginning, onwards to creating the future, one idea at a time! 💡👏
