Words of appreciation to our teachers can go a really long way in affirming their hard work! “Would you want to become a teacher?” This term, our SCs went around the school interviewing students to find out what they thought about becoming a teacher. There was a range of responses — no, yes, yes if, probably not — but one thing was clear. The life of a teacher isn’t easy, but behind every lesson, every piece of advice, and every word of encouragement, is someone who chose to make a positive impact on students’ lives. Wishing all our staff in JWSS a Happy Teachers’ Day!

Celebrating our 25th Anniversary and 61st National Day with the GrYEHtitude Project! Keeping our sprawling 3-hectare campus running smoothly is no small feat. A huge thanks to the unsung heroes—our cleaners, security guards, canteen vendors, librarian, bookshop assistant, Digital Engineers, admin staff, STEM instructors and contractors...—who keep us going. But let’s make gratitude a daily habit, not just a one-off event. Next time you see them, say "hello" or share a quick "thank you." It makes a world of difference!

𝗠𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗮, 𝗚𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱!
JWSS came together in red and white for a memorable National Day celebration filled with pride, unity and joy!
We began with a solemn Observance Ceremony and commemorated the 60𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲, reaffirming our shared commitment to stand together as one united people. Our celebrations continued with an energising Mass Walk and a vibrant concert showcasing the talents and enthusiasm of our students.
We were also delighted to celebrate alongside our former Principal, 𝗠𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮, our friends from 𝗡𝗧𝗨𝗖 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 (𝗣𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿) and our supportive PSG members. Their presence made the occasion even more meaningful.
As we celebrate Singapore’s progress, may we continue to live out the values of our Pledge and go beyond for our school, our community and our nation.

Here’s a quick look back at our Racial Harmony Day celebrations last Friday!

From our morning assembly sharing and exploring traditional delicacies during recess, to engaging CCE lessons with our teachers all dressed up — it was a wonderful day celebrating our diversity and unity.
