Halloween is round the corner and so is Dia de Mu***os! 👻

Dia De Mu***os (Spanish for Day of the Dead), is an annual Mexican cultural festival. An occasion for families to remember and celebrate their loved ones who have passed on, Dia de Mu***os features joyful music, food and festivities. The cultural significance of this festival was recently recognised by it's inclusion on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritages.

This year, come and experience the vibrance of Mexican culture, and an exciting programme line-up featuring
- Latin Grammy nominated Mexican folk musician Ernesto Anaya
- Traditional Mexican storyteller Valentina Ortiz who has worked with UNESCO
- Singapore's premier Mariachi band comprised of accomplished Mexican and Latin American musicians living in Singapore as well as Aztec and traditional dance performances, two screenings of Disney's Oscar winning movie Coco and a parade at sun down

So, on the 18th and 25th of this month, Temasek Poly's European Culture Group will be holding a book donation drive, open to all students and staff from Temasek Poly/the general public. The books collected goes to the less fortunate students in Sulu, Philippines. Our booth will be held from 1230pm- 330pm on the days stated, and will be located right outside the TP Library. We hope to see many of you there, donating towards this good cause! P.s., we only accept books are written that are in English language/Tagalog. Thank you all!! :)
