At ARISE, we believe in science backed teaching methodologies. Students are encouraged to learn by teaching others and discussing the concept at hand. Both strategies offer superior memory retention rates.

The current class size in schools is too big for a teacher to handle while 3-4 per class is the sweet spot. Have your children been affected? .

Learning never stops at ARISE!
In our annual December challenge, our students are encouraged to have a keen eye in spotting errors as they travel the world as they apply what they learned at ARISE in their daily lives! More examples can be found in our highlights section above.
Jeric Lim is the winner this year with 11 submissions! Congratulations!

Day 2's questions taught us that the 3rd question which was widely believed to be broadly linked can actually have no link at all

Congratulations to our P6s students! We are able to spot this topic as part of our oral masterclass. How would you have answered these questions?

Dear parents, I have collated a table of vocabulary from 2015-2018 P4-P6 papers' vocab/editing/compre cloze sections of various schools which I feel are commonly misspelt by students be it due to the words not following phonics or syllable rules.
I will not be printing this out as I intend to use it as an organic list which will grow with time as future papers are released.
P3-5 parents: Please do not rush our kids into memorising as much of them as possible. Let them take their time. Play spelling games with words from the list as vocabulary only sticks in the mind of our children via repeated exposure. You can also engage them via writing a short make-believe paragraph after randomly choosing 10 words from the list which will allow them practise using these words. These words are good to know for PSLE so please do not rush them to finish all of it for their respective SA2s that are coming up.
P6 parents: Please do not rush our kids as well. Assuming 10 words a day, our kids will still be able to go through these words twice before PSLE comes. Please remind them to organise their files in the way I have instructed them to allow for easier revision. It will be very hectic from Sept holiday onwards and they won't have time to handle admin matters anymore so start early.
I have colour coded the alphabets where most of the mistakes occur in red.

This boy of mine came from China 2 years ago with no knowledge of English. Starting with alphabets, I taught him. It was a tough journey. Today, he showed me this from his form teacher!
