Last evening, the Rafflesian Business Network kicked off 2025 with the first networking event of the year! 🥳 Titled "Success in Sight: Real Assets Investing & Executive Journeys", the event saw a turnout of 150 Rafflesians at Capital Tower, and speakers included Mr Ervin Yeo (RI 2000, RJC 2002), Ms Serena Teo (RJC 1991), Mr Mak Hoe Kit (RJC 1992) and Mr Chris Chong (RI 1988, RJC 1990). The session started off with a round of “Know Your Rafflesian”, and the dialogue proceeded with the sharing of the speakers’ personal and professional experiences. Their inspiring journeys of stepping out of their comfort zones to challenge the status quo and to be unafraid of failure resonated with the participants.

We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Dr Meera Saminathan, who was a former Tamil Language teacher in RI. Dr Meera often went above the call of duty to care for her students, imparting lessons beyond the classroom, and was a stalwart in the Tamil teaching community. Our deepest condolences to Dr Meera's family and loved ones.

If you wish to pay your last respects, Dr Meera's family has shared that there will be prayers at the Sri Manmatha Karuneshvarar Temple tomorrow (27 November 2024) at 7pm.
