And so, 8th March officially marked the conclusion of our 34th Council Term.
It was indeed a term that saw through many changes and progress. As we handed the responsibility over to the 35th Council yesterday, it was arguably the proudest moment of our life in RV, having seen our juniors grown and mature and now taking over the helm of our Council.
Heartfelt gratitude goes out to our parents for their ardent support towards our high level of commitment in the school. Thank you for your support and encouragement as you trusted us to handle our time well.
Thank you school leaders, past and present, for providing us with the trust and support that we are able to exercise our authority given. The past term in Council has indeed been fruitful and thank you for providing us with the platform and learning opportunity.
Thank you also, to our Council teachers, Mr Gan Tiong Beng, Mr Ng Eong Sian, Mr Yeo Cheng Rong, Mr Zhou Peng, Mr Liu Gong Kai, Mrs Rachel Ong, Ms Kasturi, Ms Hannah Tan, Ms Faith Goh and Ms Lee Pei Yong for standing with us and holding the fort with Council for the past terms. Moments we share, will dearly be missed.
Thank you, our teachers, who have saw us through the 6 years in RV (Yr1 –Yr6), for walking alongside with us ever since we stepped foot in the Malan Campus, all the way to where we are today. Thank you for your care and concern for our well-being and academic pursuits given our Council commitments.
Thank you, our seniors, for all your encouragement, care and guidance throughout our 34th Term. It was indeed heartwarming to have your support and faith during our term in office.
Thank you House Councillors and General Student Councillors, for helming so many projects with us. It has indeed been a great pleasure to be able to work alongside with each and everyone of you in the 34th Term.
Thank you peers and juniors, for all your encouragements during the term. Your support and trust has certainly motivated us to continue pushing on even when the going gets tough.
Thank you to the respective CCA groups, teachers and non-teaching staff in school for your assistance and support throughout our initiatives and projects during our term. However detailed our plans may be, our projects will not be so smooth-sailing without your assistance.
To my fellow Y6 Councillors, it has indeed been an honour to work alongside like-minded people in serving the school and our peers. I would like to thank each and every single one of you for your support and contribution towards our 34th Council Term, and for the many bitter-sweet memories, we all share.
It has indeed been an honour, and a privilege to serve RV.
Thank you 34th!
Thank you RV!
Signing off,
Ang Yi Ming,
President
River Valley High School 34th Student Council
