Lunch with food, friends and music taste so much better!
The Sec 2 students put up a delectable Lunch Time performance together with their friends with much confidence and musicality. Cheered on by their friends, it was an opportunity to showcase what the Sec 2 students have been working on in Term 2 for their Pop Band Module.
In addition, we were treated to performances from various genres like Xin Yao and musical theatre! We also admired students’ fashion designs that were on display too!
Thank you everyone who came by to support your friends with your presence and cheers!

24 Apr was a truly a day where we celebrated the community and our values.
In the morning, we had our 61st Speech Day, and the theme, “Growing with G.R.I.T.”, featured our refreshed school values of Gratitude, Respect, Integrity and Teamwork. Together, we rejoiced with our students, staff and partners as they received accolades for their achievements.
In the afternoon, we had our first Homecoming Event in the Punggol Campus. Alumni from our Jubilee, Bukit Batok and Punggol campuses gathered together under one roof as we caught up with each other over food and games.
In the evening, our Visual and Performing Arts students came together for YI’s inaugural combined VPA concert “Ignite: The Artistry”, through vibrant artworks and engaging performances. All proceeds from the concert went towards the President’s Challenge, reflecting our commitment to being Leaders for Tomorrow, Leaders for the Greater Good.

The Student Leaders Investiture 2026, held on the 16th of April 2026, marked a meaningful milestone for Yusof Ishak Secondary School as we officially welcomed a new batch of student leaders. The ceremony not only signified the start of their leadership journey, but also served as a platform to honour the dedication and contributions of our outgoing leaders.
Guided by this year’s theme, “Lead, Grow, and Bloom”, student leaders were reminded of their role in shaping the school community. To lead is to step forward with courage and responsibility, to grow is to continuously learn and develop through experiences, and to bloom is to make a positive impact on others and the school as a whole. This theme reflects the shared journey of all student leaders as they strive to serve with purpose and heart.
We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing EXCOs and student leaders for their unwavering commitment, dedication, and service to the school. Their contributions have left a lasting impact on the YI community.
As the new batch of student leaders embark on this journey, we look forward to lead with integrity, grow with resilience, and bloom with gratitude into leaders who inspire others.
