"I wish I had started earlier."

It's something we hear from many parents. Not because they didn't care, but because they hoped their child would catch up with time. Many were told, "Don't worry, it's just a phase."

Deep down, though, there was always a small voice telling them something felt different. But uncertainty, fear, and not knowing where to start often led to waiting.

If you've ever felt this way, you're not alone. Seeking support isn't about labels. It's about understanding your child better and giving them the opportunity to thrive.

📩 Reach out to MIJ Hub. Sometimes, the first step is simply having a conversation. 🤍

Eid Mubarak from all of us at MIJ Hub 🤍🌙

This year’s Hajj simulation with our students and caregivers felt especially meaningful. Not just because our families truly enjoyed the experience, but because it felt like a full circle moment for us.

15 years ago, MIJ Hub first started at . To now return with our students, caregivers, and community years later was something deeply special and emotional for our team.

A heartfelt thank you to Masjid Sultan for warmly welcoming our families and creating such a meaningful experience for our students. The joy, excitement, and engagement we witnessed throughout the day meant so much to us.

May this Eid bring peace, happiness, and barakah to everyone celebrating 🤍

Some days feel harder than they should. The crying, the meltdowns, the routines that suddenly become impossible… and slowly, many parents start wondering:

“Am I doing something wrong?”

But sometimes, children are not trying to be difficult. They may be overwhelmed, struggling to communicate, anxious, or finding it hard to regulate big emotions.

And with the right support, patience, and understanding, these skills can slowly be built over time.

If you’ve been feeling worried, exhausted, or unsure where to begin, you are not alone. There is support, and there are people willing to walk this journey with you.

Put on your headphones and experience what sensory overload at the mall can feel like for someone with autism.

What may seem like a simple errand to some can feel intensely overwhelming with bright lights, loud sounds, crowds, and constant movement happening all at once.

Sometimes, this overload can lead to a public meltdown. In these moments, compassion matters.
Instead of staring or judging, give space, stay calm, and remember that not every struggle is visible.

A little understanding can make public spaces feel safer for autistic individuals and their families 🤍

Last Friday at MIJ Hub, our students spent the day making Mother’s Day cards. No two were the same. Different colours, different shapes, each one done in their own way.

It’s a simple reminder that love doesn’t always come in the form we expect. It might not always be said out loud or shown in obvious ways, but it is there, honest and full.

To every mother raising a child with special needs, and to every caregiver who shows up day after day with patience and strength, we see you. Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Not all sacrifices are seen. Some happen quietly, every single day.

Parents adjusting their lives, letting go of ease, carrying more so their child can have a better chance.

Qurban is a reminder of what it means to give for something greater than ourselves.

This year, your sacrifice can go beyond a single act.

It can support children with special needs and families who continue to show up, no matter how hard it gets.

Sometimes support is not about doing more. It is about being more thoughtful.

Many caregivers are used to handling things on their own, not because they want to, but because it is easier than explaining everything. Over time, they stop asking for help.

That is why the small things matter. Being present, being patient, and showing you are someone safe to turn to.

If someone came to mind, maybe reach out today.

And if you are a caregiver, what kind of support would mean the most to you?

This one might surprise you.

We asked people a simple question: “Can you tell who has autism just by looking?” Most weren’t quite sure. And that’s the point.

Autism doesn’t have a “look.”
In Singapore, about 1 in 100 children are on the spectrum, and for many, it’s something you can’t immediately see.

But just because it’s invisible doesn’t mean it isn’t real.

A little more patience. A little more understanding. It can change someone’s day more than you think.

Before we assume, let’s choose empathy.

Some struggles are quiet. You don’t always see the weight a parent carries, or how hard simple things can be.

This Ramadan, your support reached families like Noreen’s and Faizal’s in ways that truly mattered. From easing daily worries to giving them space to just be with each other, it made a real difference.

Not just for a moment, but in how they keep going every day.

Thank you for showing up with your zakat and your giving.

Their journey continues. And you are part of it.

Your Qurban is more than a checkbox. It is a choice.

A choice of where it goes, who it reaches, and the kind of impact it creates.

When done with care, it can bring relief to communities who need it most, while continuing to support something meaningful beyond that moment.

If you have been thinking about your Qurban this year, take a little time to choose intentionally.

We are here if you need any help or clarity. Book through our website or drop us a WhatsApp message to get started 🤍
