MeetingYoungMinds 2020 - Forging the New Digital Economy

The Digital Economy is a key pillar in Singapore’s Smart Nation goals.

Businesses are now embracing technologies and undergoing digital transformation to create new products and services for an ever increasing digitally savvy consumers.

Jointly organised by School of Business’ Entrepreneurship Committee, Diploma in Business Information Technology (BIT) and Diploma in Business (BUS), this annual event provides a platform for our students to showcase their projects in the Enterprise Business Plan and Major Project subjects.

Our 17th MeetingYoungMinds @ BIT 2019 has finally come to an end! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our guests who took their time off to our event and also our students for putting in their efforts to present their outstanding projects in this event.

Next, we would also like to extend our thanks to our speakers, Mr Jackson Kwa and Ms Sunila for their inspirational talks to inspire our fellow students and our guests. It was definitely a session that we should not miss!

We would also wish to thank all of the lecturers and school management. To make this event a success, they have assisted our Year 3 students in terms of the setups and other things.

And last but not least, we are proud to say that few of the groups have been featured on the Newspaper and their projects were being recognized by some of the media. The Newspaper was mainly, LianHe ZaoBao and TNP.

Once again, we would like to thank our Year 3 Students. Everyone in the group has put in the effort to come up with all the different innovative project ideas and make the 17th MeetingYoungMinds possible. Without any one of you, this event would not be a great success. Good job everyone, you guys have put in your best effort and all the lecturers see it!

Our students have been putting in their effort to set up the booth since yesterday to bring the best for each of our project for our showcase. Today, our students are getting briefed for the event tomorrow to bring the best to you guys!

We strongly encourage Year 1s & 2s to bring your peers along as this will be a great opportunity to gain better insights for your upcoming Final Year Project! Ms Sunila Shivpuri, Managing Director and Chief Information Security Officer in Deutsche Bank AG, is one of our guest speakers for this year's MeetingYoungMinds@BIT.

She is also named as IBF Fellow by the Institude of Banking and Finance. Having more than 36 years of experience in IT solutions for the financial industry, she will be sharing with our BIT students her wealth of IT experience and her insights from navigating her career.

We are honoured to have invited her as our guest speaker. She will be sharing with us how IT has transformed on connecting with one other and the opportunities.

For the past years, all our fellow Year 3 BIT students have come up with different innovative solutions to companies and enhanced their connectivity! They build on new technologies to meet clients needs by learning a new skill or applying the skills taught during the curriculum.

This upcoming MeetingYoungMinds@BIT will be a showcase of our dearest AY2018/2019 Year 3 BIT student’s major projects. It’s four months and more worth of effort on the projects and collaboration with the respective clients. Let’s not miss the opportunity to have a look at their projects.

It will be held in Temasek Polytechnic Main Auditorium on the 20th February, Wednesday from 2pm to 5pm. Do note that everyone is welcome to join us at this event! See you there!
