๐ Sports & Aesthetics Carnival 2026
This year's SAC got a meaningful refresh โ reimagined to reflect our college ethos, caring culture, and the values of human dignity ๐
At the heart of this year's carnival was inclusivity โ celebrating different abilities and raising awareness of how differently abled individuals can not only be part of our community, but truly thrive and succeed within it.
For the first time, the CJC PE Department and House Leaders came together to take a bold new approach to organising SAC โ one that put student autonomy front and centre, giving every student the freedom to choose how they wanted to represent their House on the day. ๐
Here's to celebrating every ability, every voice, and every one of us!
Wishing everyone a restful June break ahead. ๐

๐ฑ Common Ground 2026 | CJC Student Learning Fest
From 19โ21 May, CJC students came together for Common Ground, a three-day learning festival centred on contributing to the Common Good. The programme featured talks by professionals and agencies, learning journeys, collaborative solutioning for real-world sustainability challenges, and student presentations.
The fest culminated in an engaging session where JC2 students had the privilege of discussing pressing global and national issues on sustainability and climate change with Senior Parliamentary Secretary Ms Goh Han Yan. ๐ฌ๐

Hey CJCians, were you there at the ๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ-๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ last Friday, 6 Mar? ๐ ๐
This year, we invited 34 community organisations to our college for students to learn more about their work and we were also joined by the Singapore Government Partnerships Office that shared how citizen-led initiatives turned ideas into action. ๐ค
Through the ๐ฃ๐ช@๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ, students explored authentic problem statements, understood the needs, resources and current efforts of organisations, and were inspired to design for purpose. ๐กโจ
Some key moments that stood out:

More than just an event, the fair is a platform for students to ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป, ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ณ๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ณ๐๐น๐น๐ โ supporting existing programmes or designing projects that truly meet community needs. ๐
A big thank you to our partners for inspiring our students to serve with love, purpose and impact! ๐

โจ *The Leadership Series 2026*โจ
At Catholic Junior College, we believe every student has the potential to be a leader. But what does it mean to be a leader? In our college, leadership is not simply about holding a title โ it is about choosing, each day, to serve and uplift the community, starting with the people around us, with purpose and heart.
This year, all our JC1 students journeyed through *The Leadership Series*, a college-wide leadership education programme designed to ground them in the spirit of servant leadership. Through an online module, students explored what it means to lead with service, engaged in scenario-based practices to sharpen their thinking, and learnt about the many leadership opportunities available in CJC.
The journey continued with an in-person Q&A forum, where aspiring student leaders connected with Teachers-in-Charge and current JC2 leaders โ asking candid questions and gaining valuable insights into the responsibilities and realities of leadership.
We were especially privileged to conclude the series with a sharing by three distinguished alumni leaders:
๐ Elysha Chan (House Captain of Albert House & Ee Peng Liang Award recipient, Class of 2024)
๐ Sophie OโHara (50th Student Council President, Class of 2025)
๐ Jeanice Angela (Home Tutorial Councillor & leader of the 2T03 Xin Yuan Local Service Learning Project, Class of 2025)
Their message was clear and powerful: leadership does not begin with a badge or a position โ it begins with the daily decision to step up, to serve, and to uplift those around us.
A heartfelt thank you to our alumni leaders for returning to inspire the next generation of CJ leaders. ๐
