Digitization will unleash the superpower of VC — fuel a better future for all people. This vision is within reach — Gartner predicts that AI will be involved in 75% of venture investment decisions by 2025. AI can transform sourcing and screening from investors’ pack mentality, to funding more female founders who build better products and services — and create higher returns for investors. VC has displayed little innovation in how it makes investment decisions, which is infected by human bias, resulting in a gender gap of approximately $130 billion in 2018.
Are there existing AI solutions out there that can enable VCs to filter deal flows and spot companies with high potentials to generate high returns? How do these AI solutions differ from one another?

Human intelligence comes from an amazing duality of arriving at conclusions based on perception of patterns, and the contrary, conclusions based on very structured and rational decisions. Both forms are distinct, but complementary. Machine-based intelligence also comes in two forms: Deep learning based Artificial Intelligence interprets patterns in data to arrive at conclusions and hence, mimics the perception based intelligence of our brain whereas; and standard instruction-by-instruction computing (like in a PC) mimics the rational intelligence of our brain.

1. AI deals with understanding patterns in the input data for a situation and deriving perceptions based on its deep learning about a specific topic. These perceptions are expressed as a “level of confidence” for the decisions to be taken for that situation. AI is, in effect, Artificial Perception. An AI machine mimics the perceptional ability of the human brain.
2. Human perception based decision-making is difficult to describe verbally in any detail, because it is almost automatic and sub-conscious. In contrast, logic, by definition, can be described exactly.

We have long established how the audit and risk professionals will never be replaced by AI but they will instead be assisted with AI to detect, predict and manage all risk types: from macro-industry news to micro-transactions arising from ledgers and journals.
Some key questions:
1. What are the new vs old ways of conducting audit work?
2. What is the ROI of conducting AI-based audit compliance work?
3. How can Ai detect various risk types across sector/industry/business types?
Join us for this webinar where we share the failures of risk detection experienced by Tier 1 institutions, as well as AI tools that are now made available to internal/external auditors from small-medium firms for audit planning purposes.
