Button & Velcro Dressing Frames: Practical Life

The Small Button frame helps children practice buttoning small buttons on clothes. They learn to pinch, guide, and pull — building fine motor skills and concentration.

The Velcro frame offers a simple first step in fastening. The easy pull-and-press action builds confidence and coordination, preparing children for more advanced dressing skills.

Children were introduced to the Brown Stairs. They watched the teacher’s presentation attentively and was able to complete the work independently.

This material helps children develop visual discrimination of thickness and size while strengthening their concentration and coordination.

Our explorer is refining their sense of smell using Montessori Smelling Bottles — matching scents and building focus at the same time.

🐎 马年手工 | 环保创作迎新春 🧧

孩子们一起动手，将毛线剪成合适长度，制作马的鬃毛和尾巴；再用红纸包裹环保材料的卷纸筒，作为马的身体。在老师的引导下，孩子们依次粘贴头部、四肢等部位，完成了一匹匹充满童趣的小马。

通过本次手工活动，孩子们练习了剪、贴等精细动作，认识了马的身体结构，也在创作中体验了利用环保材料进行手工制作的乐趣。

Our 6-year-olds took their sewing skills to the next level! 🧵✨

Building on what they learned last time, they practiced threading needles and sewing a running stitch around a felt circle. To add a personal touch, they finished it off by attaching a button as decoration.

At the Inno Luar New Year event, parents and children shared radiant smiles while participating in fun games and crafts together. These smiling faces reflected not only the warm bond between them but also the joy and hope of the season. Amid the laughter, their hearts grew closer as they welcomed a promising new year together.

Montessori Language Area

In our Montessori Language area, children develop early reading and writing skills through a structured and hands-on progression.

The journey begins with the Sandpaper Letters, where children learn letter sounds by tracing textured letters, helping them connect sound, symbol, and movement. They then move on to the Pink Series, where they start blending simple three-letter phonetic words such as cat and sun, building their confidence in reading.

As their skills grow, children progress to the Blue Series, where they explore longer phonetic words and consonant blends like flag and plant. This gradual progression helps children strengthen their reading fluency while nurturing independence and a love for language.

As Chinese New Year approaches, children experience the festive spirit by writing the character “福”, welcoming blessings and good fortune in a joyful way.

Cultural Area: Land & Water Forms

Our children explored land and water forms through a hands-on, sensorial experience. Using the island and lake trays, they poured water and discovered how land and water interact, building a simple understanding of geographical features found around the world. Through gentle guidance, they learned and confidently shared the definitions of an island and a lake, making learning both meaningful and engaging.
