🎥 CNA Filming Our PSLE June Holiday Bootcamp Students: An Incredible Journey! 🎥

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the CNA team to our centre to film a segment for their documentary, Regardless of Grades. The feature follows the progress and resilience of our hardworking PSLE students.

We believe quality learning should be made available to every student, and we were incredibly proud to showcase how we support our kids in achieving their very best.

A big thank-you to our amazing students and the CNA team for letting us be a part of this meaningful experience! 🌟

It’s a common realization for students across Singapore: Preliminary examinations are frequently designed to be tougher than the actual PSLE or O-Level papers. This "difficulty gap" can be a huge hit to a student's confidence. 📉

At The Math Lab, we believe the key to surviving the Prelim season is a shift in strategy.

Swipe through our 4 Essential Revision Strategies:

🎯 Identify & Target Weaknesses – Focus on the topics that actually need work.
🗺️ Create Visual Summaries – Move beyond passive reading with active recall.
🗣️ Teach to Learn – If you can explain it simply, you’ve mastered it.
📅 Strategic Planning – Make every study hour count toward your goal.

If you’re looking to put these strategies into practice, our June Math Boot Camp is now open for registration. It’s a great way for students to build confidence and refine their techniques in a structured environment.

Does your child understand Math in class, but goes "blank" during the exam? 😰

It’s not a lack of intelligence—it’s a Retention Gap. 🧠

Most students "cram" for a topic, move on, and never look back. By the time the mid-year or final exams roll around, that knowledge has evaporated.

At The Math Lab, we don’t just teach; we train for long-term mastery using:
✅ Spaced Repetition to move concepts into permanent memory.
✅ Variety Training so no "exam twist" can catch them off guard.
✅ Regular High-Impact Reviews to keep every topic fresh.

Turn "I forgot" into "I’ve got this!" this June. 🏆

Many students lose marks in Math not because they don’t understand…

…but because of careless mistakes.

The good news?
These mistakes are preventable with the right habits.

Start with this:
✅ Master concepts
✅ Build checking habits early
✅ Stay focused during solving
✅ Show clear workings
✅ Don’t rush — pace yourself
✅ Review past mistakes

At The Math Lab, we train students to think clearly, work systematically, and minimise errors — especially under exam pressure.

🎯 Because accuracy is what turns effort into results.

Many parents tell us: “My child studies hard… but the results are not improving.”

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and we understand your concern. As the PSLE approaches, the pressure can feel immense.

In P6 Math, success isn’t just about how much your child studies — it’s about how they are learning. Small conceptual gaps, especially in newly added P6 Algebra or advanced Heuristics, can lead to significant drops in marks on Paper 2.

💡 The good news: This can be fixed with the right, conceptual guidance from a supportive tutor who understands the MOE 2026 syllabus changes.

If you’re looking for proven strategies to help your child bridge those gaps before the final sprint, explore our methodology:

Is online Math tuition the right choice for your child? 🤔

With more learning options available today, many parents are considering online lessons. While online tuition offers flexibility, accessibility, and real-time interaction, it may not always be the best fit for every child.

For older students who are more independent and able to stay focused, online lessons can be highly effective.
For younger children, face-to-face guidance and closer supervision may still play an important role in building strong foundations.

✨ The key is choosing the learning environment that best supports your child’s needs and learning style.

At The Math Lab, we focus on helping every student learn in a way that works best for them.

That “Aha!” moment ✨

When a topic that once felt impossible suddenly makes sense.
When the steps become clear.
When confusion turns into confidence.

These moments may seem small, but they are incredibly powerful. They remind students that Math is something they can understand — with the right guidance and support.

At The Math Lab, we focus on helping students truly understand the concepts, not just memorise methods. Because when students understand the “why” behind the solution, their confidence grows and learning becomes much more meaningful.

Moments like this are why we love what we do. 💙

You don't need to be a genius to do Math. You just need to be 'steady.' ✨

At The Math Lab, we’ve seen that the most successful students aren't always the ones who find it "easy" from day one. They are the ones who stay consistent:

✅ Show up, especially when the topic is hard.
✅ Embrace mistakes as part of the learning process.
✅ Choose consistency over intensity, every single time.

Math isn’t a sprint; it’s about building a rhythm. If your child is feeling discouraged by a recent result, remind them: Stay steady, keep practicing, and the clarity will follow.

Let’s turn those "I can't" moments into "Not yet" moments together. 💪

WA1 Math papers are coming back this week. 📉 For many Secondary students, the results can be a surprise.

If your child received a 'Borderline Pass' (50-55%), it’s time to look beyond the grade. A 'C' at this stage usually points to 'hidden' gaps in foundational Algebra or Linear Equations.

How to help them move forward:

1️⃣ Check for 'Careless' Mistakes: Marks lost on presentation or calculation. These are habits we can fix with better exam techniques.
2️⃣ Identify 'Concept' Gaps: Getting stuck because the logic hasn't clicked yet. This requires targeted re-teaching before Term 2 picks up speed.

The March break is the perfect time to pause, bridge these gaps, and rebuild that confidence. 🧠✨
