冬至是中国传统二十四节气之一，也是非常重要的一个节气。这是北半球全年白天最短、夜晚最长的一天。冬至过后，白天逐渐变长，夜晚逐渐变短，标志着太阳直射点从南回归线逐渐向北移动。
在中国文化中，冬至不仅是一个天文节气，还被视为一个重要的传统节日。根据地域的不同，人们在冬至这一天有各种习俗：
北方地区：通常吃饺子，民间有“冬至不端饺子碗，冻掉耳朵没人管”的说法，表示冬至吃饺子可以御寒。
南方地区：则有吃汤圆的习惯，象征团圆美满。
祭祖与祈福：冬至也是一个祭祖的日子，人们通过祭祀活动表达对先人的思念，同时祈求新的一年平安顺遂。
养生传统：在冬至之后，天气会更加寒冷，因此人们注重进补，吃一些温暖身体的食物，比如羊肉汤、红枣粥等，以增强抵抗力。

Music has the power to stimulate the mind and ignite creativity - Carol Orff
In our classes, our activities are planned closely with the Orff Approach. Due to the play-based nature of the Orff approach, children usually enjoy themselves and demonstrate a positive, joyful attitude toward learning. They are more likely to feel at ease and motivated.
The Orff Schulwerk, or simply the Orff Approach, is a developmental approach used in music education. It combines music, movement, drama, and speech into lessons that are similar to a child‘s world of play. It was developed by the German composer Carl Orff (1895–1982) and colleague Gunild Keetman during the 1920s.
