Kawasaki san, congratulations on your promotion to 2nd dan!
It’s hard to believe that nearly eight years have passed since you joined our dojo in 2017.
You’ve trained with unwavering dedication, rarely missing class, and have continued full-contact sparring without injury—truly a superhuman feat.
Now, to have reached 2nd dan at the age of 67 is nothing short of extraordinary.
Please continue to serve as an inspiration to your fellow students, and take good care of your health as you continue to walk the path of Kyokushin! Osu

Osu! I just came back from the 13th WT in Japan. 2023 marks several milestones: WKO Singapore’s 10th founding anniversary, 20 years since the formation of WKO as The Strongest Budo Karate in the World and 100 years centennial of the birth Sosai Mas Oyama (which we acknowledged with a special design T-shirt).

WKO Singapore has since participated in the 11th WT 2015, 12th WT 2019 and 13th WT 2023. Our trademark
獅魂 (Spirit of The Lion) kanji continues to gain popular attention and serves as a rallying call to display courage, strength and resilience under pressure, qualities that Budo Karateka aspire to. It draws inspiration from Kyokushin roots in the term “Wakajishi” or “Young Lions”, which refers to the personal disciples (Uchi Deshi) of Sosai Mas Oyama. Osu!
