✨ Parent-Teen Bonding Through Creativity & Fun! ✨
On 23 May, our parents and teens came together for a meaningful bonding session filled with laughter, learning, and shared experiences. ❤️
Beyond learning new skills, the session provided valuable opportunities for families to connect, create lasting memories, and enjoy quality time together.
Thank you to all our parents and students for making the session such a wonderful success. We look forward to more opportunities to learn, grow, and bond together as a school community! 🌟

Last Tuesday, selected Secondary 3 students visited the Albatross File exhibition at the National Library Building for an enriching learning journey that brought both History and Social Studies concepts to life.
Through historical records, photographs, artefacts and personal accounts, students gained deeper insights into the events leading up to Singapore's independence in 1965. Beyond learning about Singapore's past, they also reflected on broader Social Studies themes such as leadership, governance, national identity and the challenges of nation-building.
The exhibition provided valuable opportunities for students to connect classroom learning with authentic historical sources, think critically about issues that continue to shape societies today, and develop a deeper appreciation of Singapore's journey as a nation.

You can find the list of items we’re collecting in the poster above. Every donation, big or small, will go a long way in helping the animals at SPCA. ❤️
We’ll also be sharing more about SPCA’s amazing efforts, and there’ll be a fun quiz at our booth where you can stand a chance to win some prizes! 🎉
We’d really appreciate your support, and we hope to see you at our booth next week! ☺️

As we get closer to the end of term, there is much to celebrate, remember & honour.
Week 8 Friday’s assembly was used to commemorate the Tampines Secondary School NPCC Day Ceremony 2026.

Over the weekend, several of our CCA Leaders participated in the Community Litter Event at Tampines Park. Beyond keeping the environment clean, the event was a reminder that when put together, our small actions can make a big difference for those around us 🌳
Through serving the community together, our students learnt what it means to care for the people and spaces around them, showing initiative, teamwork and responsibility every step of the way 💚💛

Last Monday, on 11th May, over 80 Lower Sec Literature students went on a theatre learning journey to watch local plays ‘Perfecting Pratas’ and ‘Don’t Know Don’t Care’ at the RELC Theatre in town.
Both these plays are studied in school so we were pleased to see students very engaged in the dramatic performances as well as show initiative to ask questions to the cast and producer at the Q&A segment after.
Overall, it was a meaningful experience to see literature on stage as a form of arts appreciation, crucial for all Tampinesians as they grow to embrace human complexity and be in better stead to weather challenges or circumstances that come their way.

Weeks 7-8 featured another whirlwind of meaningful assembly talks and presentations from Ms Julie Koh explaining why critical thinking is imperative in preparing for our future and 4-6 students sharing the connections between the music we listen to and our personalities to an informative talk encouraging more awareness of dyslexia led by Tampinesians.
More recently, on Monday this week, our Sec 4 IT Advocates presented the importance of developing strong digital habits and staying alert against online scams to the school population.
During the sharing, they introduced the S.T.A.R framework, a useful guide to help students make responsible decisions online, think critically before acting and stay safe in the digital world.
The meaningful sharing was followed by an engaging Anti-Scam assembly show presented by the team from ACT 3 Theatrics, an initiative by The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS). Through interactive performances and real-life scam scenarios, students gained valuable insights on recognising and avoiding scams.
Last but not least, Mr Nallu advocated for more Tampinesians to practise good values and hone personal qualities that make shared spaces more positive places for all.

In Week 6, commencing 20 April, Tampinesians came together to commemorate Green Week - a week filled with learning, action and reflection on how we care for our environment.
From exploring energy conservation during morning assembly, to hands-on and engaging activities across levels, Tampinesians experienced learning about sustainability in different ways 🌳🌼
The week concluded with our annual tree planting collaboration with Tampines Primary. Though the rain kept us from planting, it did not dampen the spirit of the day—a meaningful time of connection, appreciation, and a shared commitment to being eco-stewards! 🥰
