Teacher Sharon may hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, but Music is her passion and lifelong companion, having served in church as a pianist for worship, weddings and the choir, and being a member of various choirs since she was 5. Being passionate about music education in Singapore, she joined the Ministry of Education for a time to be a Secondary School Teacher and opened the world of
Music to her students using cutting edge technology on the iPad. As a Piano Teacher, she hopes to nurture and develop students to become independent and lifelong learners, and to inspire in her students a love for piano. She advocates learning music theory to enhance her students’ appreciation and performance, and conducts both individual and group theory lessons for advanced students. Currently, she is also a singer-song-writer with her group The Mustard Seed and has produced a CD of their original songs. Most recently, she has obtained her LMusTCL, a prestigious Music Diploma awarded by Trinity College London, which is proof of her never-ending endeavour in personal development. Piano lessons with heart. Sharon believes in nurturing every child to achieve their fullest potential, in music and in character. Not only does she teach fingers to dance on the keys, but also nurtures a positive attitude in learning and growing. With a tripartite relationship involving parents in the learning process, each young person can blossom into a wonderful person who can play the piano with heart. A trial lesson will be required to assess each student-parent pair to make for a good start and a successful progression for each child.
