We were thrilled to have over 300 primary learners take part in our Nexus music ensembles this semester. From choirs to instrumental groups like the Ukulele ensemble, and from Rock Bands to Primary Orchestra, every learner impressed us with their dedication and hard work. We celebrated their musical talents with two end-of-year concerts - first, our Singing Stars Showcase, and second, our Primary Music Concert.

A huge thank you to all of the parents who joined us and who have supported their children with their musical education over the last year.

We would also like to thank our music department, instrumental teachers and other staff who continue to support our learners. We couldn't do it without you.

Meet Vlad, an International Ice Hockey Athlete with Big Goals 🏒

At just 8 years old, Year 3 learner Vlad is already making an impact both on and off the court.

After moving from Russia to Singapore, Vlad was determined to continue pursuing his passion for ice hockey. Since then, he has competed internationally, earned a Best Goalie award at a tournament in Thailand, and become the youngest and only Primary learner in the Nexus floorball team.

Today, he trains alongside learners as old as 18, embracing every challenge with resilience, adaptability and a love for the game.

Celebrating Our Secondary Sports Awards 🏆

Our Secondary Sports Awards brought together learners, coaches and families to celebrate another successful year of sport at Nexus.

The awards recognised learners across our ACSIS teams and sports programme through honours such as Club Athlete, Most Improved, and Player of the Year.

As our Sports Manager, Ms Nisa, shared:

"Our Sports Awards celebrate the hard work, dedication and achievements of our learners throughout the year. The event recognised learners who have shown excellence in their respective sports. We are proud of all our learners and their efforts both on and off the field."

A huge thank you to our coaches, staff and families for their support throughout the season, and congratulations to all of our award recipients. We are incredibly proud of what our athletes have achieved this year.

Nexus Makes a BALD Statement for Hair for Hope 2026

For the 9th year running, the Nexus community has come together to stand in proud solidarity with children impacted by cancer.

We had an amazing turnout with brave shavees from Year 3 all the way to Year 12, alongside our fantastic staff and parent community. Together, they shaved their heads to raise awareness and vital funds, demonstrating incredible courage, compassion, and the power of collective action.

A massive thank you to our courageous shavees and to everyone who donated and supported the cause.

First Place at the Singapore Slalom Cup Rollerblading Tournament 🛼🥇

Congratulations to our learner, Polina, who skated her way to the top spot in the Youth Women Speed Slalom category (ages 14 to 18) at the Singapore Slalom Cup (SSC).

Speed slalom is a high-precision discipline where skaters weave through a line of cones on one foot as fast as possible.

This achievement comes from years of dedication, as Polina has been rollerblading since she was 8 years old and competing since the age of 11.

Well done, Polina!

Year 6 PYP Exhibition 2026

What an incredible achievement by our Year 6 learners! After months of research and preparation, they shared the results of their inquiries through more than 80 exhibits, exploring topics ranging from global conflicts and sustainability to interactive VR experiences inspired by ancient mythology.

The Exhibition challenged learners to take ownership of their learning, work collaboratively, solve problems and present their ideas to a wider audience. It was fantastic to see the confidence, creativity and perseverance they brought to every project.
