Voices of Singapore 2026

Our Nexus choirs recently took to the stage at the Voices of Singapore Festival, performing at the historic CHIJMES alongside choirs from schools across Singapore.

From vocal masterclasses to performing for a live audience, our Primary Choir and Secondary Chamber Choir had the opportunity to learn, collaborate and grow as musicians in one of Singapore’s largest choir festivals.

SwimFaster 2026

Our young swimmers had a fantastic start to the season at the SwimFaster 2026 Swim Meet.

We were especially proud to see swimmers from our Nexus Swim Academy step up to competitive racing. Having developed their skills and technique through regular training at Nexus, they are now taking the next step in their swimming journey.

The meet was a brilliant opportunity to put their training into action, gain valuable race experience and challenge themselves in a competitive environment.

Well done to all our swimmers!

Our IB Computer Science Learners had the exciting opportunity to take part in a Machine Learning Workshop led by Professor Mathew Yee-King (Programme Director, UOL Computer Science Goldsmiths) from University of London.

The workshop focused on Agentic AI and how it is shaping the next generation of intelligent systems. They explored a range of emerging concepts including local language models, agent personalities, tool use, task delegation, MCP Servers and how AI Agents can collaborate to solve complex tasks.

Through this hands-on experience, our Nexus learners gained valuable insight into university-level learning and the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence.

Nexus Learners Achieve Gold at World Mathematics Championships

Year 13 learners Julian and Divyansh recently competed in the World Mathematics Championships Finals at Imperial College London, alongside 51 talented young mathematicians from around the world.

Both learners returned with gold medals, while Julian was also recognised as one of the top three student mathematicians in the world!

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: Meet Matej 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

From sprint canoeing to an IRONMAN 70.3, Year 13 learner Matej is always looking for his next challenge.

This summer, he completed the 1.9km swim, 90km cycle and 21.1km run in 5:47:29, becoming the youngest Slovak athlete to complete an IRONMAN 70.3.

What makes Matej’s journey stand out is everything behind the finish line: months of training, balancing the demands of the IB, recovering from injury, and learning to stay consistent when motivation disappears.

With support from the Nexus swimming team, coaches, and on-campus training facilities, Matej was able to fit regular training around the demands of the IB Diploma Programme, giving him more time to study, recover and pursue his goals.

Minute to Win It House Challenge ⏱️

This week, we celebrated our first Secondary House event of the school year!

Learners took on a series of one-minute challenges, working together in their Houses and putting their teamwork, communication and quick thinking to the test. There was plenty of energy, laughter and friendly competition as they raced against the clock.

Celebrating Devina’s Mathematics Success 🏆

Congratulations to our Year 4 learner Devina, who represented Nexus at the Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) 2026, earning a Bronze medal in the Math Olympiad (MO) and Silver in Math Warriors (MW).

Her love of mathematics began at just five years old, and her curiosity, logical thinking and dedication have continued to drive her success.
