Our Parent Support Group (PSG) hosted a wonderful Dads for Life bowling event on Saturday, bringing together our Primary 3 and Primary 4 girls with their fathers for a day filled with high-fives, big smiles, and precious family bonding.

A very special shoutout goes to our amazing PSG Daddies, who took the lead in spearheading this entire event! Thanks to their dedication and hard work, our dads and daughters enjoyed a fantastic time of friendly competition, cheering each other on with every pin knocked down.

Moments like these highlight the heart of our Marymount Convent School community, where strong active fatherhood and dedicated family partnerships help our girls grow with confidence, joy, and love.

A huge thank you to all the PSG Daddies and volunteers who made this event possible, and to all the fathers who came out to create lasting memories with their daughters!

Catholic Education Sunday 2026

This evening, our Marymount community came together at the 5.00 p.m. Sunset Mass at the Church of the Holy Spirit to celebrate Catholic Education Sunday.

Our girls served joyfully in many ways, singing in the choir, cantoring the Psalm and Gospel Acclamation, proclaiming the Word as lectors, serving as Ministers of Hospitality, presenting the offertory gifts and distributing brochures to the congregation.

The Mass was also attended by our teachers, school leaders and parents, bringing us together as one Marymount community united in faith, education and service.

It was a beautiful reminder that the formation of every child is a shared mission, nurtured by school, family and Church.

Traveling Light: Discover the Wonders of Optics!

Our students are having a bright time exploring the Science Centre’s Travelling Light exhibition, which is lighting up our school from 11 August to 3 September 2026!

With 18 interactive exhibits, students are getting hands-on as they discover the amazing world of light — from seeing how light travels and reflects, to experimenting with shadows and uncovering how red, green and blue light come together to create different colours.

With the exhibition still ongoing, there are plenty more opportunities for our young scientists to explore, discover, and learn. We love seeing our Marymount girls’ eyes light up as they experience the wonders of Science firsthand!

This National Day, one of our P6 students, Julia Tan Li Jun, gifted Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development, a watercolour artwork entitled: My Tomorrow, Today. Ms Indranee is an alumna of Marymount Convent School.

In this artwork, we see a young girl stretching her arms skyward, ready to take flight. Her outstretched arms speak not merely of dreams, but of boundless possibilities. Holding her are her parents – they are her pillars of devotion; their hands and hearts lift her towards a future of hope and aspirations. She achieves, a Singaporean, a woman, a lady of grace. This artwork tells a bit of the artist’s own story – of how her parents’ love has become the invisible wind beneath her wings. It captures the sacred moment when her dreams take shape because her parents believe in her. The artist honours her parents, the country she belongs to and her dreams that spread under their feet.

On 14 August 2026, our Marymount Convent School students had the meaningful opportunity to contribute to the annual ‘Hey Jude’ Concert, organised by Catholic Welfare Services (CWS) for rough sleepers.

As part of this Values-in-Action (VIA) experience, our students shared their talents to bring joy and warmth to the community. Our MCS Choir opened the evening with a selection of songs, followed by vocal and violin performances by our talented students. A lively sing-along with the live band brought everyone together through music before culminating in the finale, ‘Hey Jude’.

We were honoured to have the occasion graced by Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for Education and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration; Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Social and Family Development; Mr Bart Lim and the CWS team and volunteers; as well as our School Supervisor, Sister Jean Marie, Principal Ms Minnie Cheong, Vice-Principals and teachers.

Our heartfelt thanks to Catholic Welfare Services and their dedicated team and volunteers for this meaningful opportunity. More than just a performance, the evening was an experience of giving and service, where our girls learnt that by generously sharing their time, effort and talents, they can bring joy to others, build meaningful connections and make a positive difference in the community.❤️🎶

P1 Outreach 2026 @ MCS! (Session 2)
And that’s a wrap on our second P1 Outreach session! Today, 14 August, we were thrilled to welcome another fantastic group of prospective parents and future Marymount girls to our campus.

Once again, our student emcees set a bright and welcoming tone, filling the hall with their joyful energy. Parents gained valuable insights during the Principal’s address on how Marymount Convent School nurtures confident, compassionate young women. Meanwhile, the little ones were captivated by another wonderful storytelling session, lovingly brought to life by our teachers and dedicated Parent Support Group (PSG) volunteers!

Guided campus tours wrapped up the day, giving families a firsthand look at our vibrant learning spaces and holistic programmes in action.

A heart-felt thank you to our incredible staff, our unstoppable PSG, and every family who took the time to visit us today. It was a true pleasure sharing the heart of MCS with you!

P2 VIA
Our Primary 2 girls recently put empathy into action through their Values-In-Action (VIA) programme, “MCS Gift from the Heart”, in partnership with Catholic Welfare Services (CWS). Together, our girls lovingly prepared and donated 105 care packs to support rough sleepers in our community! 💛

Jointly curated by our CCE and Mathematics Departments, this authentic learning experience took lessons beyond the classroom. Applying their financial literacy skills, the girls set aside savings, collaborated on budgets, and made thoughtful purchasing decisions during a visit to FairPrice Xtra before packing each care pack with care.

Through planning, budgeting, and giving, our girls discovered how small, responsible choices can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Well done, Primary 2 girls! We are super proud of you for showing that true compassion means turning empathy into meaningful action.

We are immensely proud to share that Aadya Komaravalli has been honoured with the Singapore Silent Heroes Student Award 2026! 🏆

Aadya has been quietly making a difference in our community since the age of 9. From teaching traditional games to the wider community and delivering meals to those in need, to raising funds for the Red Cross and emceeing local events, her heart for service is a true inspiration.

As Aadya shared in her speech at the ceremony, "Community service does not require a superpower, a cape, or a mask — simply a smile, helping hands, and a heart."

The National Day celebrations continued as our Marymount family joined in for a joyful sing-along session!

The hall was filled with bright voices and waving flags as our girls, teachers, and staff sang our favorite National Day songs with so much enthusiasm. The energy was truly infectious, bringing everyone together in true MCS spirit!

What a wonderful way to celebrate Singapore’s birthday! Happy National Day, Singapore! ❤️🎶
