He was commended for his brave act and received the Public Spiritedness Award from the @singaporepoliceforce, in appreciation for his help in thwarting the attack of a sword-wielding man. “At that point of time, I knew I had two options - either I escape or I help. Having grown up in a home and church environment where I have been taught to help others and to put others above self, it was a natural reaction to help.” Jun Yi, our EAE student from Serangoon Secondary comes from a close-knit family of 5, and enjoys b-ball and computer games.
