SMU Assurance and Advisory Team The SMU Assurance & Advisory Team (SAAT) was established in 2005 to address the need to maintain transparency in the financials of student bodies in SMU.

Through the provision of assurance and advisory services to student bodies, SAAT seeks to improve the financial, compliance and operating systems of the SMU student bodies through its work. SAAT provides financial audit services to SMUSA in ensuring that the financial system is both efficient and effective in supporting SMU's Constituent Bodies (CBDs) and Student Clubs. Since 2008, SAAT has come d

irectly under the purview of the Office of Dean of Students, which authorises the mandate of SAAT. SAAT has also grown and matured under the mentorship of the club's two advisors: Practice Associate Professor of Accounting Foo See Liang, and Ms Ng Luck Pia, Associate Director at the Office of Dean, School of Accountancy.
