Our Training Partner Organisations, shared that the facilitators they are looking for, needs to minimally posssess these fundamental skills, to have a good working relationship with them.
When we first read the list, we were surprised too, as some of the skills were not so fundamental. Which means that expectations has rised! And it potentially also comes from what the client is willing to pay for, for the value of the ability and competency of the facilitator.
So let us help and support you to meet these expectations, so that you might :
* have longer lasting and meaningful relationships with the training organisations you work with
* the clients provide good reviews and
* it enhances the value of facilitation, that it is a financially viable area of work

π Ideal Facilitators π
And essentially, when you pause and truly take a look at what the expectations of an ideal faciltator is, it is also :
π‘ the expectations of every other potential employer - meaning that when you go through the FDP, you can potentially be employable almost everywhere else -> Facilitation is beyond just a skillset for facilitators - it is a skillset for leaders, managers, team members, sales and service staff, project managers, and more!
π‘ what each of us hope for in our loved ones and friends, to be a decent human being -> Facilitation is a lifeskill, and most of who have embodied facilitation, are in better positions to interact and communicate better with loved ones, friends and colleagues.

π Nightmare Facilitators πΏ
We compiled this, based on the feedback of our Training Partner Organisations. They speak from real experiences, and real interactions with facilitators whom they have engaged before. And some of their staff who interact directly with these nightmare facilitators are so affected by their attitudes, that they needed the distance from these facilitators, and so, these facilitators were not engaged again for jobs.
Through the FDP, we truly hope to be able to support both the training partner organisations to not have these type of experiences with facilitators again, and also support the facilitators themselves, to become MVPs in any organisations that they join, whether full-time, part-time and/or freelance!
We have one more preview session for the FDP on 10th March 2026, 8.30am, and the actual FDP starts in April 2026. Join the network to be a part of an ecosystem for Facilitation Training & Development.

Look forward to having you with us!
It was with a lot of intentional consideration and expectation management, that we decided to embark on this programme. And we truly hope to go above and beyond what other programmes can do, to support the 4 main stakeholders involved in facilitation practices :
1. Training Organisations - the people who employ/engage freelance facilitators, to receive a pool of facilitators who are ready to go, and can meet quality standards (which we will be sharing the next few posts)
2. The Freelance Facilitators themselves - to be able to offer their skills, knowledge and attitude to their potential employers and stakeholders, with confidence and authenticity (can actually deliver to expectations), and can be of benefit the end-user, the participants!
3. The Participants - we all want to be able to attend training, programmes and workshops, energised, having learnt something, and having food for thought, so as to experience something valuable. And the facilitator plays a very big role in creating and curating that experience, regardless what the content is. The participants want to be able to flow into "how is this relevant to my context?"
4. The Client - the person who pays for the job to be done. They also want training organisations and facilitators who can work with them in achieving their objectives and outcomes, and have the participants have a good and meaningful experience.
When we are able to fulfill all these, we will find that, receiving recurring work and jobs, will be less challenging, and we can uplift the whole industry to meet all our expectations!
Why do we have our focus on Facilitation?
Because there are gaps in the industry, because we hope for facilitators to be able to better human beings.
Faciltiation is not purely a "job", it is a way of life, a way of living.
Beyond a lifeskill, it is a live skill; it is fluid, it is dynamic. And when the facilitator brings the whole person into the room, and not just a part of them, they can sense the space better, move with the wants and needs of the participants, the process of facilitation becomes an experience, and not just a task.
Combining this with experiential learning, the whole space comes alive!
Join us for our Facilitator Development Programme (FDP), to experience the embodiment of a facilitator. Not just from an individual trainer for the programme, but from an entire ecosystem of support, care and practice.

Happy Lunar New Year, to all who celebrate the arrival of Spring!
As we go about the year of the Fire Horse, where everything is energised and moving forward with strength and gusto, do take moments to pause, breathe and rest. It is ok to take moments, long and short, to just take a break from the hustle and bustle of life, with the intention to walk a longer distance.
Also, during this period of festivities, do exercise kindness.
Here are 3 suggestions :
π«Ά slow down at traffic junctions, be patient and allow cyclists and pedestrians to cross the road
π«Ά be present in conversations - speak with positive intent, listen with care and understanding
π«Ά reach out and connect with loved ones and friends, and lend a helping hand to strangers in need

Weβve seen many facilitation programmes focus on certification β yet the impact often doesnβt translate into real work.
That gap is why this programme was created.
A group of practitioners came together to design a Facilitator Development Programme (FDP) that goes beyond theory β looking at how facilitation actually shows up in day-to-day leadership, conversations, and decision-making.
Before committing to the full programme, weβre running a 90-minute FDP Preview Session to offer clarity β not skill-building.
This preview is for:
β’ Organisational leaders
β’ New and emerging managers
β’ Real estate & financial advisory team leads
β’ Community, programme, and youth leaders
β’ Full-time & Freelance Facilitators, Trainers & Consultants
If you regularly lead people, align perspectives, or hold difficult conversations, facilitation is already part of your work.
π Start with the preview. Decide later.

Connect with self
Connect with others
Connect with meaning & purpose
It is clear, given the journey we have personally been on, and the journeys of many many many others around us, that the natural next step to take, is to venture into the space of Organisational Development.
We were sitting with our imposter syndrome for the last 2-3 years, asking ourselves, if we are truly equipped to be able to do this piece of work.
The reality is, while we were sitting with this doubt, we are also already doing the work, through facilitation & facilitator development, leadership development and coaching.
So, we are taking this moment, to declare that this is the work we are involved in, and will endeavour to do the best we can!
We have been hibernating, and brewing...
Spring has arrived, and we are ready...
Our focus for 2026... and beyond...

Be Courageous, Be Compassionate, Have Hope.
These are the values that we will practice and demonstrate as best as we can, to remind ourselves to be; because we are human beings, not human doings.
Our passion is in people and environment. Our purpose is to create the environment through developing courageous and compassionate leaders, who will in turn, create the environment, to develop more courageous and compassionate leaders. And we approach this through the βButterfly Effectβ.
We believe that people will be the ones who will make a difference to our world, whether it is to the environment, education, politics, technology, etc:
