Celebrating Singapore, Go Beyond!
Our SG61 National Day celebrations unfolded over three meaningful and exciting days, bringing our Pei Hwa community together to celebrate Singapore and this year’s theme, “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”
The celebrations kicked off on 5 August with a special assembly programme by RSAF pilot Captain Tan, a proud Pei Hwa alumnus and parent. Students then took part in the first day of our NDC Recess Activities, enjoying interactive games and challenges as they learnt about Singapore’s iconic places, local food and the Singapore Pledge in different languages. They also put their creativity and teamwork to the test by challenging themselves to build the tallest tower and go beyond their chosen limits!
The festive spirit continued with our P4 Recess Concert, where our young musicians entertained their friends with Ukulele, violin and piano performances.
On 6 August, the fun continued with another day of NDC Recess Activities and P4 Recess Concert performances, giving more students the opportunity to learn, play and celebrate together.
The celebrations culminated on 7 August with our National Day Concert! 🎉 Our Guitar, Choir, Modern Dance, Drama, Wushu and Drum groups took to the stage, while our Ukulele students collaborated with seniors from Glory Presbyterian Church for a special intergenerational performance. We were also privileged to welcome a group of seniors from All Saints Home to join us for this special celebration. ❤️
Together with our Mass Singalongs of Not Alone, The Road Ahead and Sparkle, the three days were filled with music, laughter, learning and a shared love for our nation.
From our students and staff to our parents, alumni and community partners, SG61 was truly a celebration that brought different generations and our Pei Hwa community together as one. ❤️
