Last Friday, our classrooms belonged to the mums. 💛

We played. We danced. We sang. We laughed until our sides hurt. We shared stories that made us tear up just a little — and yes, some of us were just a little embarrassed. But in the best way possible. 😄🥹

There is something truly special about watching a child’s face when their mum walks into their world. The pride. The joy. The way they stand just a little taller.

At UWP, we believe children are far more capable than the world gives them credit for. And behind every curious, confident, courageous little person is a mum who believed in them first. Who showed up on the hard days. Who cheered the loudest on the brave ones. Who gave them the security to try, to fail, to try again — and to know they were loved through all of it.

Our mums don’t just support their children’s growth. They are the foundation of it.

Happy Earth Day from UWP! 🌍💚

This week our classrooms came alive with one very important question: how do we take care of the planet we share?

From our tiniest Playgroup explorers — fishing plastic from a classroom ocean with nets and tools — to our older children diving deep into their Units of Inquiry on ecosystems, conservation, and sustainability, this week reminded us why we do what we do.

Because when children learn to love the earth early, they carry that love for life. 🌱

At UWP, nature isn't a topic we visit once a year. It lives in our classrooms every day — in the plants we grow, the creatures we study, the materials we choose, and the curiosity we nurture in every child who walks through our doors.

This week was joyful, messy, meaningful, and everything early childhood education should be. 🐠🌊🌿

⭐ Star of the Week with N2 Hummingbirds 🐦

Just one month into N2, and look at this growth!

Our Star of the Week took home the class hummingbird mascot, brought it on a little adventure, then returned with a beautifully made booklet to share her experience with the class.

But this is about so much more than show and tell.

Moments like these build confidence, articulation, sequencing skills, and the courage to speak in front of others. She spoke clearly, answered her friends’ questions thoughtfully, and carried herself with such quiet pride.

Just as heart-warming? The audience.
Her classmates listened patiently, asked meaningful questions, and showed genuine interest in their friend’s story.

This is what we love about Nursery 2 — communication skills blossoming, friendships deepening, and children learning how to both express themselves and respect the voices of others.

It’s in these small, everyday moments that we see big development happening 💛

🎄 Special Delivery from the North Pole 🎄

This holiday season, we feel incredibly blessed.

Today, our children made Christmas cards, shared festive songs, and handed their creations to complete strangers - simply to spread joy.

No prompts. No expectations. Just kindness, confidence, and care.

This is the United World Preschool spirit.

🎨 Batik Art Field Trip!

From Playgroup to K2, our children spent a colourful morning at Hans Art Gallery exploring traditional batik techniques and creating their own beautiful masterpieces.

It was everything great art should be: messy, hands-on, sensory, and joyfully expressive... and the results were absolutely stunning.

At United World Preschool, we believe in giving children real artistic experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for culture and craft.
