St Gerard's School

Hello all! St Gerard's School is introducing a 3hr weekend Early Intervention Program for children 2 to 6 years old!

This program is not intended to replace the school curriculum, but rather to build a strong foundation to help children cope within a pre-school / mainstream setting. The program will be collaboratively run by a team comprising of an OT, ST, EI Educator, ABA therapist and Play therapist.

Our School Readiness Program equips children who are entering primary school/ already in primary school with the skills to function effectively in a school setting.

If your child faces difficulties with sitting quietly during lessons…
He/she will learn to better regulate himself/ herself as well as to process different sensory inputs to be able to sit through lessons.

If your child faces difficulties with listening to his/her teachers and responding to instructions…
He/she will learn to focus and attend to his/ her teacher’s instructions through honing of listening skills and strengthening of concepts.

If your child faces difficulties with making friends and with managing social situations…
He/she will learn to interact and engage with peers and sharpen his/her ability to recognise and follow social norms.

If your child faces difficulties with language and mathematical concepts…
He/she will learn concepts through a scaffolded manner as well as learn to generalise these concepts across different situations.
