🇸🇬 And the Singapore spirit continued beyond the hall! ❤️🤍

Our National Day festivities continued in the classrooms, where our students explored what it means to Go Beyond as a member of a community.

Through discussions, students examined examples of people going beyond themselves to help, care and contribute. They shared their own ideas on how they can make a difference in their school and community.

Then, it was time to put teamwork into action! 🎈 Working together to keep a balloon in the air, our students discovered that every pair of hands—and every person in the team—plays a part. The same spirit came through as each class worked together to form a heart ❤️, creating a visual reminder that while we may each be different, we are all part of one community.

From discussions to games and even a little creative teamwork, our students showed that going beyond can start with something as simple as helping one another and playing our part.

Majulah Singapura! 🇸🇬❤️🤍

🇸🇬 A sea of red. A wave of flags. A hall filled with Singapore spirit. ❤️🤍

Dressed in red and waving our Singapore flags high, our students came together to celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday with hearts full of pride and joy.

Our celebration began with a march-in, followed by a time of recollection as we reflected on Singapore’s journey and how far our nation has come. The hall came alive as everyone sang along to familiar National Day favourites, while our student performers delivered a heartfelt rendition of the local favourite, Home, filling the hall with pride and a shared love for our nation.

No National Day celebration would be complete without the annual ACES Workout! This well-loved tradition got students and staff moving together, bringing even more energy and smiles to the morning’s festivities.

With every flag waved, every song sung and every cheer shared, our Townsville community celebrated not just Singapore’s birthday, but the spirit that brings us together.

As part of our Mental Health Awareness Week, students attended the SIR and KIR assembly talks on empathy for self and others, fostering kindness, understanding, and respect in their daily interactions. This was followed by the "How Have You Bean?" Mental Health Awareness Booth, where students engaged in activities to recognise emotions, practise healthy coping strategies, seek support when needed, and write encouragement notes for their friends.

A heartfelt thank you to our parent volunteers and community partners for their support. Together, we continue to build a caring and inclusive school community where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. 💚

💙 Empathy in Action at Townsville Primary School! 💙

This week during KIR, our students learned that empathy is about understanding how others feel and showing kindness through their words and actions. They had the opportunity to put these values into practice through meaningful activities and real-life situations.

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. We are proud of our students for showing care, respect, and compassion towards others as they continue to grow into thoughtful and responsible individuals.
