πŸŽ¬πŸ’š Teachers’ Day 2026 | A Day to Remember πŸ’šπŸŽ¬

From the first warm welcomes in the morning to the final reunion with our alumni, yesterday was one big celebration of the people who make Greendale an amazing place to teach, learn and grow. 🌱✨

There were class parties, thoughtful gifts, handwritten notes for our teachers and staff, and even customised chocolate bars β€” which our School Leaders cheekily claimed they had painstakingly made themselves! πŸ«πŸ˜†

Then came a full-blown Avengers-themed concert πŸ¦Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈ, with performances by our Greendale Dance Ensemble and our very own special Greendale band, before the day ended on an especially meaningful note: more than 100 alumni returning to school to reconnect with and thank the teachers who had been part of their journeys. πŸ’š

A celebration like this takes a village. A huge THANK YOU to our Teachers’ Day Planning Committee, Student Council, event emcees, Greendale Dance Ensemble, our special Greendale band, School Leaders, Parent Support Group, alumni, and every member of staff β€” teaching and non-teaching β€” who contributed to making the day so memorable.

And, of course, to our teachers: thank you for the lessons you teach, the encouragement you give, and the many ways you help our Greendale students Grow & Glow. 🌱✨

Happy Teachers’ Day! πŸ’š
Now enjoy the well-deserved holiday today! β˜•πŸ˜΄

Some Greendale stories don’t end at graduation. They find their way home. πŸ«πŸ’š

Today, more than 100 Greendale alumni returned to familiar corridors and classrooms β€” this time, to reconnect, reminisce and, most importantly, say thank you to the teachers who were part of their growing-up years. πŸŽ“βœ¨

There were hugs, laughter, old stories retold and plenty of β€œDo you remember when…?” moments. Some things may have changed around Greendale, but the connections clearly haven’t. πŸ₯Ή

As we celebrate 20 years of Greendale, today was a beautiful reminder that our story is not just about the years that have passed, but the people and relationships that continue long after students leave our gates.

To our alumni: thank you for coming home. πŸ’š
And to our teachers β€” past and present β€” Happy Teachers’ Day! 🌱✨

Greendale alumni, your turn: Which Greendale teacher would you come back to thank β€” and what would you say to them? πŸ‘‡

Tomorrow, we celebrate our teachers. πŸ’š Today, the spotlight is on our students β€” and the many different ways they are learning, challenging themselves and growing beyond the classroom. 🌱

At today’s assembly, we celebrated achievements across adventure, language, sports and digital media. For our parents, these awards represent more than prizes β€” behind each one are opportunities to discover strengths, build confidence, work with others and have the courage to take on something new.

Different arenas. Different strengths. Different ways to shine. 🌟

Parents, whether your child’s strength lies in the classroom, on an adventure course, behind a camera, in a competition or somewhere they have yet to discover, we hope they continue to find opportunities to explore and grow.

And for families considering Greendale as your school of choice, this is what learning beyond the classroom can look like: giving young people different spaces to discover what they can do, build confidence and find their own ways to shine. πŸ’š

Tomorrow, we celebrate the teachers who guide the journey. Today, we celebrate the students who make that journey worthwhile.

Keep growing. Keep glowing. ✨

🧠⚑ Learning Beyond the Classroom | CEPAT TEPAT 2.0 πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬

From Katapella to Cepat Tepat 2.0 β€” our Greendale students continue to take their Malay Language learning beyond the classroom and onto bigger stages! ✨

This time, it was all about thinking fast, responding accurately and working as a team.

Cepat Tepat 2.0 challenged our students’ knowledge, speed and quick thinking through an exciting, fast-paced Malay Language competition. Even more exciting β€” this is the first time the competition has been opened to secondary school students!

And Team Greendale rose to the challenge. πŸ’ͺ🏼

🌟 We emerged as one of the Top 4 schools and made it all the way to the Finals!

Hot on the heels of our Katapella finalists, it’s another opportunity for our students to build confidence, deepen their appreciation of the Malay language and culture, and discover just how far their learning can take them. πŸ’š

πŸ’šβœ¨ GD20 | Our Voices, Our Stories βœ¨πŸ’š

Every school has a beginning. And every beginning has people who helped write its first stories.

As we celebrate 20 years of Greendale, we begin a special alumni edition of our GD20 series β€” looking back at the Greendale students who once walked our corridors.

Pioneer batch pride. πŸ’š

We begin with Raihana, Class of 2009 and one of Greendale’s pioneer students. 🌱

When Raihana joined the newly opened Greendale in 2006, she could hardly have imagined where her journey would take her. A turning point came in Secondary 2, when her Form Teacher, Ms Amy Ong, saw her potential.

That belief mattered.

Raihana went on to make the Director’s List at ITE and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, receive a scholarship and achieve the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal Award β€” accomplishments she once never imagined possible.

From pioneer Head Councillor to educator, Raihana’s journey is one of many Greendale stories of potential discovered, possibilities opened and lives taking shape. 🌱

One alumnus. One story. Many more to come as we celebrate 20 years of Greendale. ✨

Which batch do you belong to? What's your story? πŸ‘€

For our parents, we hope these experiences give you something to chat about at home: What kind of challenge does your child enjoy? What makes them curious? What would they like to try next?

And to parents of P6 students considering Greendale, these are just some of the ways we make learning extend beyond lessons and examinations β€” giving students opportunities to discover their strengths, experience the joy of challenge and grow in confidence along the way. 🌱

Because every child can have a different way to shine.

Think. Solve. Challenge yourself.
Grow. Glow. ✨

Parents, here’s another reason to celebrate our Greendale students - your children! πŸ’š

The NAPFA Challenge encourages students to give their best at every station, with their individual efforts also contributing towards their class score.

To all our parents: whether your child’s name appears here or not, do celebrate the effort behind their NAPFA journey. Ask them which station challenged them most, where they improved, or what goal they might set for themselves next. Every personal best is worth celebrating. πŸ’ͺ

And to parents of P6 students considering Greendale β€” nurturing healthy, confident and resilient young people is part of how we help our students Grow and Glow, in and beyond the classroom. 🌱✨

Move. Persevere. Grow. Glow.
