How Zhi Qi, a Year 2 BFA in Media Art student specialising in game design at ADM, reminds us that even the smallest habits make a difference. Amid long hours of playtesting, prototyping and iteration, it’s easy to overlook the importance of taking care of yourself along the way.

Meet Janea, our Year Two Design Art student.
A designer whose work embraces a bold, maximalist and pop-inspired aesthetic, Janea's vibrant visual language reflects her commitment to celebrating and championing Filipino culture, using design as a platform for identity, representation and storytelling. She strives to be an ambassador for her culture, creating work that is both energetic and meaningful.

Singaporean animated feature film, The Violinist, makes history at Annecy 2026, winning the Cristal Award for Best Feature Film and the SACEM Award for Best Original Soundtrack, cementing its status as a landmark in global cinema. The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is universally regarded as the absolute pinnacle of the animation world, and winning the Cristal Award is the highest honour a feature-length animated film can achieve globally.
The film carries strong ties to Nanyang Technological University, School of Art, Design and Media through institutional partnership, industry guidance and creative talent. Director Ervin Han serves on the ADM Industry Advisory Committee (IAC), aligning NTU’s curriculum with global industry standards, and NTU ADM is an official educational partner on the film.
ADM alumni also played key roles in its production: alumnus Jasper Liu (Class of 2016) served as a layout artist, shaping the film’s cinematic framing and composition, while alumna Angelina Tan (Class of 2024) worked as production coordinator and joined the team at Annecy.
Congrats to all, for making ADM and Singapore proud!
