🌊 ECG Learning Journey: Into the Ocean – Journey Beneath 🐋✨

Our Sec 3 - 5 students had the exciting opportunity to take part in an Education and Career Guidance (ECG) Learning Journey to ArtScience Museum, exploring Into the Ocean: Journey Beneath.

Organised by MOE’s Education and Career Guidance Branch (ECGB) in collaboration with ImpactSG, the experience gave our students a fascinating glimpse into ocean exploration, conservation, innovation and the diverse careers connected to our oceans and the environment. 🌏🌊

A special highlight was the opportunity to meet Mr Shawn Loh, incoming Minister of State for Education, and Mr Mark Dalio, Founder of OceanX, and hear perspectives from leaders working across education, exploration and ocean conservation.

Through experiences like these, our students are encouraged to discover new possibilities, broaden their understanding of future pathways, and see how their interests can connect to meaningful careers that make an impact.

Over three weeks, our Secondary One students stepped into the vibrant world of Peranakan heritage at the Peranakan Museum! 🏛️✨ Through their visit, students explored fascinating aspects of history and culture, while discovering how intricate patterns, colours, and symbols tell stories of identity, tradition, and everyday life. They observed beautiful artefacts, uncovered the meanings behind traditional motifs, and connected what they saw to Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage. It was an engaging journey of learning beyond the classroom, encouraging students to look closely, ask questions, and appreciate the stories woven into our shared past. 🇸🇬

♟️ Friendly Moves, Stronger Connections!

Last Friday, our Peirce chess players welcomed friends from Punggol Secondary School for a friendly chess match filled with thoughtful moves, friendly competition and good sportsmanship.

Beyond testing their strategies across the board, our students had the opportunity to learn from one another, sharpen their skills and build new friendships through a shared love for chess. 🤝♟️

Thank you, Punggol Secondary School, for an enjoyable afternoon of games and camaraderie. We look forward to meeting across the chessboard again!

📚✨ Celebrating the Joy of Literature!

Our students had the wonderful opportunity to take part in the National Schools Literature Festival 2026, immersing themselves in stories, words and the creative world of literature. They received the 2nd place (Silver Award) for Choral Speaking and the 3rd place (Bronze Award) for the Book Parade.

Through engaging activities and experiences, they explored new ideas, discovered different perspectives and celebrated the power of storytelling. It was wonderful to see our students participating with enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity.

✨ PEIRCE ALUMNI SERIES #2 ✨

In the second edition of our Peirce Alumni Series, we catch up with Athena Tong Cheng Yarn, who is currently pursuing a Diploma in Communication & Motion Design at Nanyang Polytechnic.

Athena has been representing Singapore as a Graphic Design Technology competitor at WorldSkills, putting her creativity, technical skills and composure to the test on an international platform. This year, she brought home an incredible Silver Medal at the WorldSkills Challenge in Australia!

Her journey is a reminder that progress often begins before we feel completely ready. As Athena puts it:

“Make it exist first, then perfect it later.”

From pushing beyond her comfort zone to learning how to perform under pressure, Athena continues to sharpen her craft while embracing every challenge along the way.

To our Peirceans: start creating, keep improving, and don’t let overthinking stop you from taking that first step. 💪✨

National Day at Peirce was more than a celebration—it was a reflection of active citizenship and community spirit.

Rounded in discipline and quiet pride, our Uniformed Groups and Band set a meaningful tone for the morning with the march-past and flag-raising ceremony.

Translating reflection into action, Peirceans brought energy and purpose to the school Karneval, raising proceeds to support community causes.

The energy of the morning shifted to thoughtful reflection during an original student drama performance on the racial riots, reminding us of the harmony we must actively protect. The celebration concluded with a lively lucky draw, bringing students and staff together in a shared moment of joy.

Through discipline , the arts, and service, our students showed that celebrating our nation means caring for its people.

Throwback to our Sino-Singapore School Exchange Programme! 🤝

It was a joy welcoming 22 students and 3 teachers from the High School Affiliated to Southwest University to Peirce Secondary School.

Our Peirce buddies proudly played host, sharing their school life, introducing the unique culture of Singapore, and creating meaningful memories together. Beyond the activities and learning journeys, the greatest takeaway was the friendships that blossomed across borders.

To our Chongqing friends, thank you for the laughter, conversations, and unforgettable moments. Our Peirceans can't wait to reunite with all of you in Chongqing this November and look forward to many more exchange programmes that continue to strengthen our friendship and cultural understanding.

🏆 Flying High at the Smart World Cup – Drone Odyssey Challenge 2026! 🚁

We are thrilled to celebrate our students’ outstanding achievements, clinching both 1st and 2nd place in the competition!

Our Secondary 1 boys also received the Best Team Play Award, recognising their excellent collaboration, sportsmanship and support for one another throughout the challenge. By communicating effectively, contributing their individual strengths and working towards a shared goal, they demonstrated the E21CC competency of Collaboration in action.

These achievements are a testament to our students’ hard work, resilience and teamwork. Congratulations to all our participants for making us proud and showing what can be achieved when collaboration and determination take flight!
