The team’s results reflected both effort and progress across the squad:

Beyond the results, what stood out most was the way the swimmers raced — with growing confidence, improved technical ex*****on, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Under Teacher Jerry’s guidance, many athletes were able to translate training into performance when it mattered most.

This milestone reflects more than just speed. The SwimFaster framework benchmarks swimmers against national timing standards, requiring strong technique, race control, and consistency under competition conditions.

Garett demonstrated all three.

𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 is a renowned age-group development coach, widely respected for transforming young swimmers from their very first strokes into confident and competitive athletes. With over 𝟐𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, he has dedicated his career to nurturing young swimmers and helping them discover their potential in the water.

Over the years, many swimmers under his guidance have progressed to school swimming teams and competitive squads, representing institutions such as Temasek Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, and CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh).

Teacher Jerry is also a 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝟐.𝟎 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐒 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐎𝐄, playing an active role in helping children across Singapore develop not only strong swimming techniques, but also essential water safety skills, confidence, and discipline in the water.

Beyond regular training, Teacher Jerry strongly believes in giving swimmers the opportunity to experience real competition and personal growth. His swimmers regularly participate in local competitions such as the Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships (SNAG), Pesta Sukan, the Singapore Aquatics Swim Series, and the National School Games (NSG). Selected swimmers are also given opportunities to gain international exposure at overseas competitions such as the prestigious Royal Bangkok Sports Club (RBSC) Invitational Swim Meet.

Known for his 𝐟𝐮𝐧-𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞 and warm personality, Teacher Jerry is especially well-loved by children. He believes that when swimmers enjoy the learning process, they grow faster, build resilience, and develop lifelong confidence in the water.

With a coaching philosophy centered on 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬, race strategy, and character development. Teacher Jerry is passionate about guiding every swimmer to reach their fullest potential—whether it is swimming confidently for life or stepping onto the starting blocks as a competitive racer.
