DO'NT GET LOST IN THE DETAILS AND MISS THE BIG PICTURE! This is the same as getting lost in your path towards our goals because of the many distractions you encounter along the way.

Challenges in life can be overwhelming such that in addressing them, we forget to check if they are worth our energy or focus. The truth is that some of these challenges can actually take the back seat while we work on other steps that. can move the needle towards our goals.

In job hunting, distractions can come in the form of overthinking your answers to questions in interviews or over engineering your resume, getting stressed for an upcoming networking event.

When you catch yourself in this position, ask if these are the best use of your energy?

Every step you take matters, so make sure it's in the right direction.

What's one action you'll prioritize this week to get closer to your job hunting goal?

Your cover letter isn’t a second resume — it’s your personal trailer. Here’s how to make recruiters press play.

Think of a tv series, your cover letter is like the director’s cut or a teaser that shows how your experience solves the employer’s specific pain.

Here’s a quick guide on how to create an engaging cover letter;

1- Do deep research about the company and the role- pick an information you can use to start the letter. Think of this introduction like a hook:

Intro: state purpose + a connection (referral or company win).

2- Address a named person in the letter, say
“Dear Geraldine” NOT “To Whom It May Concern, “

3- Provide 2–3 examples of your notable achievements, show how you meet their needs. Using the STAR/ CAR frameworks

STAR — Situation, Task, Action, Result — to walk a hiring manager through a challenge you solved and the measurable impact you delivered.

CAR — Context, Action, Result — for a tighter, punchier example that still proves your value; always tie the result to the employer’s needs and add numbers where possible.

4- Keep it to one page (3 short paragraphs),
5- Match your resume’s look, and proofread.

What one achievement will you feature?

Share it below and I’ll help you turn it into a strong hook.

Feeling overwhelmed by the constant buzz of life's demands? It's time we talk about the power of stillness in a world that can't seem to quiet down.

Everyday, we're flooded with a deluge of sounds and stories, from the chime of our phones to the voices crowding our virtual spaces.

It's a relentless stream of information that scarcely gives us a moment to breathe, let alone reflect on what truly matters.

But here's a thought: What if the key to truly understanding and valuing the information that comes our way is to, quite simply, be still?

Instead of surrendering to the urge to absorb more, faster, and now, there's profound wisdom in pressing pause.

Being still doesn't just block out the external noise; it allows you the space and serenity to sift through the chaos, to find clarity amid the chaos.

So, I invite you to join me in this practice:
Find a moment today to just be.
Sit quietly, block out the noise, and listen—to your thoughts, to your heart. What insights emerge from the silence?

What's one way you find stillness in your busy day? Share in the comments below.
