Our Middleton University Fair gave students the opportunity to meet representatives from 17 renowned universities and explore the many pathways available beyond school.
Through meaningful conversations, questions and first-hand insights, students were able to learn more about university life, future study options and the steps they can take as they begin thinking about what comes next.
It was a valuable experience in helping our learners feel informed, inspired and confident about their future possibilities.

Our MIEP Grade 3 to 5 students have had a wonderfully creative term, exploring a wide range of art mediums, techniques and processes.
From printmaking, stamping and monoprinting to etching, mark-making and clay stamp design, students experimented with pattern, repetition, texture and composition. They also drew inspiration from Vincent van Gogh’s expressive use of colour and movement, creating their own vibrant interpretations of Starry Night.
It has been wonderful to see our young artists grow in confidence as they explored, experimented and expressed their creativity in their own unique ways.

Our Grade 5 students welcomed parents and friends into their classroom for a meaningful learning walk, showcasing their inquiry journey into Climate Change and Endangered and Extinct Animals.
Through their exhibition, learners shared how their understanding developed across the inquiry unit, from researching environmental challenges to exploring the impact of climate change on endangered and extinct species. It was wonderful to see them confidently present their learning, explain their thinking, and transform the classroom into a space for reflection, discussion and discovery.
In line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6, Clean Water and Sanitation, our primary learners explored the importance of water conservation, pollution, filtration and aeration.
Our Grade 4s came together for a collaborative science investigation into water purification, testing different filtration solutions to see how materials and layers could help separate impurities and improve water clarity. Through aeration and filtration, they observed, compared results and reflected on how clean water can be supported through thoughtful scientific solutions.
Working together allowed our learners to demonstrate collaboration, curiosity and respect while sharing ideas, testing solutions and making real-world connections.

In numeracy, our kindergarten children explored number patterns and began identifying the rules within different sequences.
Through skip counting, linking patterns to quantity, and working with loose parts materials, they created and explained patterns using colours, shapes, and numbers. From counting by 1s to skip counting by 2s, the children practised noticing what changed and predicting what would come next.
It was wonderful to hear them confidently share their pattern rules and explain their thinking as young mathematicians.
