A father, who is also an educator, came across an AI toy on social media and bought one to see if it could tutor his son. He tested it himself first; it was impressive how responsive it was.

Then, he let his son try it. Ten minutes later, he and his wife decided the toy had to go. Their son had been chatting with it as though it was a real person and couldn't tell the difference.

Unlike educational AI tools used in schools, a commercial AI toy comes with no supervision and no safeguards. As these toys become more accessible, who is responsible for what they teach our children?

We thanked the Volunteers from Clare’s Missionary for sharing the Easter celebration in our centre.

It’s an occasion for the little ones in our centre as well as our neigjbourhood kids who were free to have fun together.
